Thor: Ragnarok The Official News and Speculation Thread - - - - Part 13

True, but with the likes of Infinity Stones and other powerful objects and characters that will most likely eventually be part of the MCU, it is always possible a character can return if Marvel is interested in continuing their story.

Surfer

I'm not sure if Thanos would want to bring someone back who was trying to kill him, lol.

Thats crazy man! Lol They are going to have to make a new line for you at Box Office Mojo.

Domestic = ?????
Foreign = ?????
VisionsVision = ?????

But seriously glad you were able to enjoy it so much. And don't mind me because I am obviously just jealous.

Surfer

Haha man, this is absolutely hilarious! :funny:

I would prefer an eventual Villain team up movie, where the nemesis's plan to take out their respective heroes by fighting against a different Villain's hero. They could even be winning against the heroes, but in true Villain fashion they try to double cross one another and this division between the Villains gives the heroes the opportunity they need to change the tide of the battle. In my mind it would kind of be an Acts of Vengeance story line perhaps with some Masters of Evil thrown in.

Surfer

I agree this would be awesome, however which hero's villain can really beat Thor let alone give him a good match?

He would run amuck against everybody else's villains except for the cosmic and abstract characters.

While I love GOTG, killing Ronan was imo a poor decision by James Gunn; he could have evolved into a really interesting villain down the road.
Captain Marvel takes place in the 90's. I'd honestly be surprised if Ronan isn't in the film with a substantial role.

Taika Waititi on Twitter.
RP #jackblack: This is a challenge! #SchoolofRagnarok.

Also @chrishemsworth he distinctly said THOR so I guess it's on you bro.

Seeing Ragnarok at the El Capitan theater. So excited

Just pre-ordered the art of Thor: Ragnarok book, it comes out in a couple of days. I can't wait to get it. :woot:

Haha, Cate Blanchett is currently shooting a movie with Jack Black and he challenged her to a slo-mo dance off to Immigrant Song because he says that Ragnarok stole it from School of Rock. The result is awesome:

Well first off many of the dead characters are villains and I don't think they would attack Thanos or want him dead. However, in the case of the heroes, in the comics at some point Thanos loses the Infinity Gems to Adam Warlock, and while Adam Warlock is said to not be in Avengers Infinity War, it is not hard to believe another character will take possession of them after Thanos's defeat. At that point whoever posesses the gauntlet could return any dead heroes like Quicksilver to life, but I guess we will see.

Yeah, I just preordered my copy yesterday of The Art of Marvel's Thor Ragnarok also. I have all the other MCU art books, I just love them.

Well I am not saying they should do it right now, but just eventually. In the comics Thor faced off against Juggernaut in Acts of Vengeance. So, especially now with the whole Disney and Fox talks that were happening, I could see Juggernaut appearing in a Marvel Studios X-Men movie and later showing up to battle against Thor in an Acts of Vengeance type story line. It would be very awesome.

Thor: Ragnarok will only drop 50% in its second weekend, which is impressive for a blockbuster.

Box Office: ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Continues to Conquer With $61 Million

Disney-Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok” is set to continue its reign at the box office in its second weekend with $61.3 million at 4,080 North American locations.

[...]

The third Thor movie ended a monthlong box office slump last weekend when it opened with $122.7 million, the fourth-best launch of 2017, so a decline of under 50% is well above the norm. Directed by Taika Waititi, “Thor: Ragnarok” stars Chris Hemsworth as the title character, with Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, and Jeff Goldblum.

Perhaps he could have an opposite character arc to his comic book counterpart? Maybe Captain Marvel could give us insight into what made him a villain. Maybe he wasn't as much of a religious fanatic and vengeance fueled maniac, and he still sought actual, fair justice despite perceived misgivings but something corrupted him?

Not sure if the role will be substantial but maybe an appearance. People have expected Red Skull to appear or get mentioned since Cap 1, hasn't happened.

Cap 1 happened in the 1940's.
