I think his movie tone could REALLY work with this and I think it would be great! Everyone send emails to Burton and WB!!! Seeing how it's becoming a lot darker I really think he'd pull it off best. Also that blueish tint he gives to all his movies would work like a charm. Also with Burton comes Depp! Maybe Depp could play someone? Thoughts?

it would change the whole "feel" from the rest of the movies.

it would be too much of a negative change.

great way to end the movies! :wow:

but he would probably change the feel from the other movies though.

As much as I love Burton (and I do) I'd think this would be a bad idea.

I think it would be a bad idea, too. Burton's stuff is always a bit off kilter and I agree that it would be too different than the rest of the previous films. I don't think it will flow right.

no thank you.

as many good movies as he's made, his style just doesn't lend itself to this franchise. he's too.... out there. too fairytale-ish. it works for his own movies, but not when he's adapting other people's work (batman returns, charlie and the chocolate factory)

Those movies were awesome! :cmad:

nope, sorry.

batman returns is the 3rd best film in the franchise, behind batman begins and burton's first film, and it's only that high on the list because schumacker's movies were so so stupid... and chocolate factory was just... bad. and it takes a special kind of bad to make johnny depp suck, but burton pulled it off. there was nothing good about that movie.

oh, and planet of the apes?

yeah.

I loved Chocolate Factory.

As good as Burton is, I don't want him working on Harry Potter & The DH.

No...its underrated, underappreciated, and misunderstood.

no. it's every bit as cheesy as the schumacker movies, but with a few good moments thrown in between all the suckage, and it has a great cast going for it... but that's about it.

burton's "vision" didn't fit well at all for the batman franchise, its just held up so well in people's minds because there was nothing better to compare it to until batman begins.

Even still, after Begins, both of Burton's Batman movies hold up fine I think. You may not like them but me, Catman, and many others do.

don't get me wrong, they're not terrible, for what they are... they're just... too burton-esque for my tastes. he has his own style, and it works for his movies, just not his adaptations.

In defense of Burton, without him the public could very well still view Batman as the campy tv character from the 60's.

Whatever you want to say about the Burton movies, they did show the general public that Batman could be a dark and serious character.

B89 is STILL the most important Batman movie. It destroyed the image of Adam West and greenlit B:TAS.

I love Tim Burton. I don't love Harry Potter. I don't wanna watch a Potter movie. So no is my answer.
