Is it just me or did he do more with his power in this then he did in the first 3 movies? Because I'm pretty sure we saw a lot more then we did in the first 3 combined lol.I thought he gave a good performance, he was still rough around the edges but you could see signs of the leader he will one day become. His scenes with Jean were great as well. Plus he got some cool power displays.

Cyclops was AMAZING! Good enough to make up for 16 years of neglect.
He was so grumpy it was great. Him and Jean's first encounter had me grinning the entire time.
Agreed, loved all of their moments together. But that one especially was great.
Who's we?We saw a lot. And his blasts looked and sounded powerful.
Totally.Solid introduction. Surprising amount of humor from the character, and I'm glad he wasn't an outright "bad boy". Thought there was just enough of the interplay of him and Havok to make it worthwhile, and loved Jean's reveal about Havok's feelings about Scott.
I like the angle that he feels like a loser and sees his powers as an affliction, but slowly gains confidence. He and Jean were two sides of that basic mutant conflict, and it worked well. That's going to feed right into his leadership arc.
I also like the subtle mentor angle with Beast...just starting to develop combat strategies. Xavier helped Beast, now Beast wants to help younger mutants. Good stuff.
I loved that they didn't rush any romance, it felt very organic and real the way that they'd slowly start to become attracted to each other.
I liked that the line "Not all of us can control our powers" at the end wasn't just for him, it was for her too.
I do wish that he and Alex had more interaction though. They'd be pretty far apart age wise in this context, so they likely wouldn't be close, but something a bit more brotherly would've been nice
