Apocalypse Tye Sheridan is CYCLOPS - Part 1

I really liked what they did with Cyclops here(about damn time).

I thought he gave a good performance, he was still rough around the edges but you could see signs of the leader he will one day become. His scenes with Jean were great as well. Plus he got some cool power displays.
Is it just me or did he do more with his power in this then he did in the first 3 movies? Because I'm pretty sure we saw a lot more then we did in the first 3 combined lol.

We saw a lot. And his blasts looked and sounded powerful.

[BLACKOUT]The tree gag was honestly so funny[/BLACKOUT]

Dead on Cyclops. Tye Sheridan was Cyclops as far as I'm concerned.

I want to see more of him and Sophie please. As the leads too.

Let them finally have their trilogy 20th, please!

There is a good chance he'll blow up after Real Player One (at least, I'm hoping), so we will have our leading man. Still having mixed feelings about the movie but Scott and Jean were highlights!

Scott definitely was the best thing about this movie well one of the best things about it and if there was anyone who could replace Marsden as Cyclops it is definitely Tye Sheridan

Yep, he did, we saw plenty from him. I hope in the sequel we get to see him vs a Sentinals, I always loved Cyclops blasting them to pieces in the cartoon.

Plus if Sinister is involved, we know what Scotts power can do to him.

Cyclops was AMAZING! Good enough to make up for 16 years of neglect.

He was so grumpy it was great. Him and Jean's first encounter had me grinning the entire time.

Agreed, loved all of their moments together. But that one especially was great.

I loved that they didn't rush any romance, it felt very organic and real the way that they'd slowly start to become attracted to each other.

I liked that the line "Not all of us can control our powers" at the end wasn't just for him, it was for her too.

I do wish that he and Alex had more interaction though. They'd be pretty far apart age wise in this context, so they likely wouldn't be close, but something a bit more brotherly would've been nice

If anything Tye I felt eased into the role nicely certainly much better than Marsden's portrayal of the character throughout the original trilogy of X-Men to Last Stand

Solid introduction. Surprising amount of humor from the character, and I'm glad he wasn't an outright "bad boy". Thought there was just enough of the interplay of him and Havok to make it worthwhile, and loved Jean's reveal about Havok's feelings about Scott.

I like the angle that he feels like a loser and sees his powers as an affliction, but slowly gains confidence. He and Jean were two sides of that basic mutant conflict, and it worked well. That's going to feed right into his leadership arc.

I also like the subtle mentor angle with Beast...just starting to develop combat strategies. Xavier helped Beast, now Beast wants to help younger mutants. Good stuff.

Totally.
MAn i can just watch his scenes over and over again, it was great

Yeah I think it will be the next movie Jean and Scott properly develop their feelings, but he showed signs of a future leader here.

I thought their was enough between Scott and Alex, just wish the latter would have been able to have more than one action scene.

He's well on the way to being a leader. Great start from Cyclops.

Out of all the characters Cyclops/Jean are the ones I enjoyed the most, also being a Cyclops fan it was great that he wasn't pushed aside its about time, and looking forward to seeing him in the sequels plus I thought Tye did a fantansic job. :yay: Oh I really liked the connection between Scott/Jean I'm glad they're not rushing their relationship. :yay:

Finally the Cyclops I know! Enjoyed it every time he was on the screen.

I really loved how his mutant powers have been visualized in the first part of the movie but his power displays became very stale and lacked any creativity in the third act of the movie. It looked really dull and not powerful at all. wished they would have put more thought into it...
