That's what upsets me more with Berlanti regarding Jimmy. Hell, any supporting character or fellow DCU hero comes to that and to an additional degree, the Archie universe. For all we know, if he (or not him then Guggenheim and Kreisberg) were to bring in Carol Ferris, how much do you bet he'd have her be black (I'm black and I hate racebending), latino, or asian.

But guys, I'm getting sick of these comments here and on the DCEU Superman, as well as the DCU Superman: THE TRUNKS ARE GONE! THEY ARE NEVER COMING BACK! ACCEPT IT!

I didn't even want to comment on it but it drove me too.

I don't get the fanboy logic behind it: yes its the original image, but the argument is complete nonsense because its all about fighting for underwear. Also, the one thing the separate fans from the storytellers are the reason for the trunks. There is no reason why Superman would wear them today, even far back as the '90s. Fans don't have that mindset, because for them its like "we want them, don't explain why." When in fact you do, even I would have to.

Honestly I don't really even buy Kara and his supposed connection so even if they wanted mechad as he acts fine elsewhere they could set him up as some other character like Ron and just have Kara lust after him for his physique then even if Jimmy was still black someone less massive would have worked much better in regard to the ongoing story of her first being attracted to Mechad/Ron/Whoever then gradually seeing Jimmy as someone she likes in that way.
