Here's another comparison

Those boots look super clunky. I do like the yellow in the S though. And weren't they teasing the S-curl at their panel at SDCC? What happened to that?

That suit looked a bit like this --from Injustice: Gods Among Us:

Melissa has had practice striking a pose for the camera. Poor Tyler is just standing like a normal person with his hands just hanging casual like. There has to better promo shots coming.

"In time they will join you in the gym Henry"

:funny: these Twitter comments are hilarious

It does look like Injustice Superman. I like it but it's strange that Kara and Kal have different S's.

1st Official Picture!

First this to be our first look at the character, they could've used a much better image.

THE GOOD

The texture and detailing on the bodysuit.

The colors.

The size of the shield.

THE BAD

The boots.

The belt.

THE REST

The cape attachment.

If I had to rate it, I'd give it a 7.

Looks good to me. Not going to lie, I really do like the cape attachments. Its a neat little addition.

Lol the boots come with lifts so he can at least be the same height as Jimmy.
I kinda feel like the whole suit was designed to make him look taller, the boots, the vertical lines,...

uneventfully those all also cause a slimming effect...

Agreed I think they look pretty cool. I'm not really overly huge anyway on worrying about so many little details with some of these costumes.

It's a basic Superman get up. I'm okay with it. Don't understand the belt since it's usually to keep things on him from falling (like lets say red underwear).

But if it has some utility then I'm fine with it.

I like the shield, but that's about it. I would prefer a more traditional cape attachment and a cloth cape like Cavill's, rather than what appears to be pleather.

I'd remove the extra lines on the suit and would've used really light muscle shading. The belt is too high on his torso and looks too much like a solid band. Slim boots, perhaps attached to the costume like on the MOS suit, would've worked well.

Overall, the photo reminds me of Routh's first SR photo.

I'm warming up to the suit.

But, I'm mostly absorbing that this a pic of an official Superman and Supergirl together in live-action. I don't think I've ever really imagined such a thing happening before this show.

Design-wise, I think it looks fine. It just needs some padding. He just looks shapeless. Kind of like Evans in that first Avengers Cap suit.

I remember not being thrilled with Kara's costume at first, but then in the show it didn't bother me at all.

The costume isn't bad at all, but as long as they nail the characterisation of Superman, the costume won't be much of an issue for me.

I like the costume. But they really couldn't get a better pic of Hoechlin? It looks like he just put something sour in his mouth as they took the pic.

The belt is New 52 based. Though I don't get the vibe is from the main 52 costume, but from Romita's horrible belt change:

damn this might be the smallest superman yet lol

oliver queen and diggle are more jacked

Yeah he definitely looks thin here.

That supergirl looks bigger than him, wider too - gotta be an awkward angle. I think they wanted him to be in the background so Supergirl held prominence. Then changed their minds and wanted them side by side, so they brought him digitally to be beside her. Kinda what it looks like. His face even looks really photoshopped, like they had to bring him to the front and expand the image and that's resulted. It just doesn't look like the same guy that much from Teen Wolf. Granted some years have passed, but his face alone looks... airbrushed or drawn and somewhat compressed in.

Looking at it more up close, it looks like they told him to stand sideways.

It is an awkward angle. It looks like a composite, because it doesn't look like they were photographed at the same angle. He is more from a worm's eye point of view whereas she's more head on. Or maybe someone tried to make him look taller digitally too by increasing the perspective, and so it gives him a thinner look. Even his head looks a bit thin.

It's also not a good pose for him. Melissa is in a much better pose. He's just standing about like a lemon.

I would've liked some of the red thread lines like she has, but that is a minor thing to want.

Just okay. Live action might be another story. He doesn't look physically imposing but maybe that's just in this photo.

It's a fine design given their budget I think. I am surprised that he still looks to have a nice amount of stubble in that pic. Nothing wrong with that though.

It sounds cliché but how you walk around in the suit is a part of selling it. You need to walk around with swag and own it.
