Supergirl Tyler Hoechlin IS Superman

With having 2 Flashes and 2 Supes, especially 2 Supes, embargoing needs to die. If they want to use a heavy hitter, they should be able to IF the story is good enough.

Boy this thread is blowin' up today!!

Cool to finally see a first pic, but I was having the same thought about it being touched up as most everyone. And also that his head looks really big... I wouldn't be surprised if there had been no photo shoot and the whole thing is shopped! Kara's pose is very standard and she's taken pics with that stance before, so I could imagine someone just piecing this together. Maybe because so many people were clamoring for it!

As for the suit, I like it, especially the cape attachments. ( I know most don't like them. But I also wish it had a New52 collar as well...) But I wish Kara had those cape attachments now too. I'd also say lose the belt. It doesn't serve any purpose - or at least make it blend in more.

Size-wise, Tyler Hoechlin is a muscular guy! I'd put the 'off' to bad lighting and stance.

And c'mon, Supes doesn't have to be the tallest man in the room! Give James a little something to help him keep up in this crowd!

And about people not liking the boots, they could have just used the ones from the season finale... So, I think we're good!

Making that reference in my previous post on this being the first in 10 years having two versions of the character on screen at the same time, I was hit with another memory that I need to ask:

The whole debate/discussion on Tyler's Superman suit made me think of the debate/discussion on Routh's suit from Superman Returns. Are the two discussions the same? I mean sure, Tyler's suit has some things I wouldn't have wanted; but overall, the suit has less number of flaws that the SR suit had.

Is the debate really the same?

Seeing those two Supermen and two Flashes together makes me wish for a live-action Crisis movie!
pppssstttt, will never happen, and why, because all the Barry Allens and Clark Kents don't look alike. Won't make sense

Well hopefully we won't see too much of Superman anyway because this is Supergirl's show and Melissa is the star.

Tyler's face in that promo pic is bizzarre.

I wonder why CW chose that photo.....

There are plenty of Earths where characters aren't exact doppelgangers.

Not a fan of the belt and boots, but other than that, not too shabby. Now if we could only revamp some of the other CW hero costumes with the same material. Green Arrow can keep his outfit, but Flash and all other speedsters need a serious overhaul. As well as Firestorm and Vixen.

Ezra is probably the cheapest actor out of the Justice league bunch

He seems like he would do it if WB allowed it.

It would take ALOT of work to make a "Crisis" movie work

I think it looks good  Supergirl and now Superman have two of the best costumes in the CWverse. Zoom too.

Are we right that his head is off? Like for real?

Could someone try to fix it so we can see if it is photoshop or just how it is?

P.S. 2 Superman at the same time in our lives. Unlike 10 years back when it was just Clark on one stick, Superman on the other.

See this image just shows how big Sups should look.

I'm talking about introducing other Earth versions of the characters.

But I think even having a quick cameo in the movie-verse or tv-verse would be cool as hell for a Crisis. If they REALLY wanted to, during one of their big tv crossovers simply having it focus on an agent of Apokolips show up to take over the world and have them be connected to the movie-verse Darkseid connects them.

Preach it! Especially Flash out of all of them needs a good revamp. Get rid of that pleather.

The suit is not bad, but Taylor Hoechlin needed to bulk up a bit, maybe they should have given him some muscle suit, other than that... I don't like how cape is attached, the rest of the suit looks good though.

I don't like the cape attachment or the belt, other than that it's really good. The only other problem is he looks to small, the pic above next to Cavill really shows it.

The more I look at it the more I like it.
More than anything I'm just really excited to have more live action superman. Exciting stuff.

I haven't paid much attention to the DCTV stuff that came out of SDCC. Did they mention anything about how they're going to handle the different universe thing with Supergirl and the rest of the CW universe? Are they becoming one? Or is it just going to be a couple episodes in the big cross over?

Yeah at first I didn't like it that much. But the more I look at it the more I'm starting to like it. Can't wait to see more of it.

Messed with the image some more

Well he certainly should've been smiling, and that looks better, but the whole perspective seems off, which you can't really correct. It's like the photographer was crouching down to take Superman's photo but standing up more upright for Supergirl's, and then the Photoshopper combined those two incongruous photos.

He could use a muscle suit of some sort.
Not as heavy as what we've in the movies but....something. :funny:

Made a few changes to the suit itself to keep it more consistent with that of Supergirl. Very quick chop so excuse the messiness.
