Bradley James will costar as the male villain opposite Kate Beckinsale and Theo James in Underworld: Next Generation for ScreenGems and Lakeshore. James recently wrapped the first season of the A&E series Damien, which premieres next year, and becomes the latest to spring from the small screen to features. The film shoots in Prague next month. .

The franchise is walking on slim ice, they should try ending whatever unfinished storylines they still have, otherwise they'll most likely end up with a cliffhangered flop. Anyway, watched these films years ago, but i remember kinda enjoying the Lycans prequel, was the most decent one of them all imao. 4th one was very forgetable, i barely remember what happened in there and that's the one i watched most recently.

That's because they rushed the hell out of it. I think they only shot for like a month or two? Ended up being only like 75 minutes?

That was also my main complaint about Dracula Untold. Why is it so hard to make a 2-hour movie?

Dracula had 92 minutes to tell the story, not every film needs to be 2 hours long, there have actualy been a lot of complaints regarding most hollywood films being long nowadays. Dracula Untold sucked because the script was dumb and the Direction was meh.

I am more intrested to know if India Eisley is coming back as eve.I don't think they can just disappear that character.

I've always enjoyed this series and thought the last set up some interesting possibilities but if Michael isn't coming back, nor he and Selene's child, I don't see what purpose this film serves. Sounds like it'll be a mess unless they actually plan on finishing up the storylines that were already set up in the last film.

If they opt not to, I'll probably pass on this...which surprises me considering I've literally followed this franchise since its inception. It wasn't ever perfect but imo all four films are entertaining...this one just doesn't sound as promising thus far.

Agreed. For awhile I've been hoping they'd go all Fast Five with this one and pull out all the stops in case this is the last one. Instead, it sounds like they're going all Tokyo Drift with it, trying to take it in a different direction that nobody asked for.

And what's worse is that Scott Speedman is being substituted for Theo James. I got nothing against the guy but he just doesn't scream "leading man" to me. Get Scott Speedman back in there, his character is far more fascinating anyway.

I was always under the impression that Michael's role was reduced because Speedman didn't want to come back. But if it really was the other way around, it doesn't speak highly about the filmmakers' priorities.

I'm sure it was the other way around, and they tried to make up for it by saying the next film would focus more on his character (which doesn't seem to be true). And I definitely don't blame him, who would want to go from being one of the main focus points to only having a few seconds of screen-time? He deserves more.

it's basicly been confirmed no eve inless they recasted.

I wonder how they will explan no eve in film.

I suspect this franchise would be in a very different place if it didn't take so damn long to ramp up production on each sequel.
