While they’re not as bad as Batman and Robin, that’s not saying much. That’s like saying Domino’s is better than Little Caesar’s. My big problem with the DK trilogy is that they feel almost nothing like Batman. It feels like Christopher Nolan and company wanted to make a movie that had a few qualities of Batman but was a completely original idea only for the script to be bought by Warner Bros., have a couple more elements from Batman thrown in and then slap the Batman name on it. I usually don’t mind it when adaptations make changes from the source material but I personally feel that the Dark Knight trilogy was one of the many examples of adaptations that went too far with their changes. Also, I’ll never get why people got on Hugh Jackman’s case for not being the same height as Wolverine but gave a free pass to the movies for white washing Bane the Al Ghul family. Also, as a huge fan of Scarecrow and Two Face, I’m offended with how they were completely wasted in this movies (though I will say Cillian Murphy and Aaron Eckhart did a great job with what they were given). ****, even Batman Forever handled Two Face better. Overall, if people love these movies, that’s perfectly fine and more power to them. I personally, however, can’t stand this trilogy.

I agree with the white washing and the Two Face thing.

I'm also not a fan of Nolan's bat-suit, batmobile, bat-voice, and Gotham.

But overall I have to give props to Ledger's Joker and Hardy's Bane. They're extremely iconic with some legendary dialogue.

Also we got the Badman series from college humor which are hilarious. So thanks for that, Nolan. :hehe:

Loved the first film including its Ra's and Scarecrow, pretty disappointed with the rest but the first is still great and give at least some goodwill to the rest, also while Scarecrow in the sequels was particularly disappointing loved TDK Two-Face, thought he was great, hard to see how he would, could be considered disappointing let alone compared to that in BF.

My problem with Nolan's Two Face is he didn't explore the multiple personalities aspect. He was just Angry Face.

I could not disagree more. From a character perspective, I think all three Nolan movies run rings around the 89 movie (Look at what it did to poor Jim Gordon)
At least Batman 89 Joker felt like the Joker and wasn’t just Osama McDonald.

I’m sorry, but perma-white skin aside, TDK Joker is extremely in line with comics Joker. He’s in many ways lifted straight from Batman #1.

I actually see very little of comics Joker in 89. At least not modern comics Joker. He may have been more of a geriatric Denny O’Neil Joker.

What’s that supposed to mean?
In the short time you've been here, the only thing you have been doing is creating threads to complain about things or to give your "hot takes". To the point that it seems like an act, hence the word shtick. Basically it just seems like you're complaining just to complain.

Im not going to crap all over them, mostly since i dont care that much for Batman, but I saw Batman begins and it was ok, didnt knock me out and i only went to see the second film because of all the DC villains, Two-Face is my favorite, so i wanted to see that and it was Heath Ledgers last role, it was ok, abit long, i remember sitting in the theater looking at my watch thinking this is going long, alot of talking, and was absolutely uninterested in the third film, to this day i have not seen it, again, i get people like what they like, but this assumption Nolan is come geniuos is vastly over rated, they were ok films, nothing to write home about, but, again, to each their own.

I’d argue and say that 89 Joker inspired TAS Joker.
