Venom Revamp

Well, I was reading a discussion other were having on another forum for how Flash in the present comics could be a good current Venom, since he has more character than early Flash did.

Plus there was that What If where Flash became Spider-Man (he was bit by the Spider) and became a supervillain until Peter became another Spidey to stop him. So apparently it's not TOTALLY out of the question he could just screw up enough with Venom's powers he'd end up as a bitter fugitive who was just unable to be a hero.

It's not out of the question, but what I meant to say was he won't be the most suitable candidate for Venom. As you said in other post, Harry would work well. From what you said, Flash trying to be a hero and ending up a fugitive, it would give Flash a chance to be explored but still it doesn't makes him as interesting. Flash doesn't appears to be a total jerk or flame headed person, I think he knows good from bad and won't make as stupid mistake as going for the kill or heavy beating.

I hope that clarifies my meaning.

It' s not that he did it intentionally, but the two What If's where he became Spider-Man showed he just didn't know when to hold back.

In the first one he accidentally killed the wrestler he was fighting for money and became a fugitive hero THAT way.

In the other one where he was pretty OOC he just became a thug and a thief.

LOL, this is new....I can't believe you have to argue that his other point was brilliant. it REALLY was.

I mean Harry fits the bill more. there are PLENTY of reasons in this show for it to work. (but of course you have those venom purists who want to see the same material.)

Peter has ALWAYS shown harry up. and his father actually likes peter more. matter of fact peter is the only one he has EVER shown respect to in this show.

but overall bump the show I want to see Harry as venom in the comics.

It isn't exactly new, many have stated before that Harry is much more fitting host for Venom symbiote.

I wonder why they never got around to creating Venomized Harry. I bet many people would have appreciated it, us three at least lol.

lol...I actually meant someone having to be argued with on these boreds what they said was actually a good idea was a first. but ok. lol. :yay:

Anyone else notice that Carnage and "Green Venom" are listed on the Wikipedia page that we know to be edited by SSM staff? Carnage...eh...but Green Venom? Sounds like some of you might get that Harry/symbiote merger you've been looking for.

FAKE!

Yah....because I went on Wikipedia like last week sometime and it said "Green Venom" would be in episode 14 of the first season...someone is screwing with the SSM page.

I knew it was some drunken idiot's edit the second I saw it.

Although..."Green Venom" would be an excellent St. Patty's Day episode.

We talking about the same wiki page where someone said that the next Spider-Man sereis would be Spider-Man Zero, even though the 1st season of 'Spec SM' hasn't even ended yet, and we're expected to believe the next show is ready, or that there'll be a nest show?

SSM staff no longer edit the page on Wikipedia. Any info added without a source should be regarded as fake. I've been deleting "Green Venom" for about three weeks now.

For the sake of this thread;

Since we are in the advent of Venom, what classic Venom scenes do you hope to see in SSM?

All I want, as half you guys have speculated, is at least once for Venom to address Peter or Spidey, in that wicked double-voice of his, as "Bro."

Squueee! :D

If his transformation isn't in a church, I'm going to be pissed.

SSM Brock isn't religious, though. He's a straight-up man of science. I'd rather see Peter give it back to Connors only for Brock to get it USM-style than to see something that wouldn't make much sense. Of course, if they do something different I'm all for original stuff.

well peter could learn of the sound weakness and somehow end up at a church to remove it and brock could have been following spider-man and bam spidey removes symboite and it falls/bonds on brock.

Yeah, but this is a series that has been taking all kinds of canon and giving us a new spin. It'd be disappointing if they just gave us the same thing we got in SM:TAS years ago.

well didnt after spider-man got it removed in 616 the symboite ended up at a church where brock was and due to his spider-man hatred it bonded to him?

Peter had it removed and put with the Fantastic Four, it escaped and hid as one of the older costumes so he'd put it on.

Then when he went out of control around town with him and the suit fighting for control he encountered a bunch of Vulture wannabes. He got one of them to take him to the Church where he used the bell to get it off of him. He would've died but the symbiote sacrificed itself to save him and apparently died.

But it wasn't dead and a long time later when Eddie Brock came to pray it sensed his intense anger and was attracted to this emotion. It bonded to him.

All other versions have their own take on it, but the core idea is Peter fighting the symbiote for control, goes to the Church and uses it to get it off him.
