They really don't need to use Brandon. They could get anybody to play Clark in a cameo. It depends what film universe they are going with. Would they be fitting the Green Lantern Universe with Singer and Nolans? Or is this totally seperate? Maybe the Justice League Universe?
i agree. plus with a 90 miliosn budget they could make a more stylized world. not like speed racer and not like 300. more greenscreen and more matte paintings. its more cheap and it would be good for epic outdoor shots.Well its good to hear something, interesting that they would put the clark kent cameo in the script. You know what though, I think something like this would get the GA excited again about the character and if worst comes to worst they just cut the scene from the movie. I think a wonder woman movie is a no brainer, I just think the approach that it has to be at least a 150 million dollar production is wrong. If they keep it within 80-100 million the movie will be profitable if their so scared to have a movie with a female heroine. The best comparison is underworld.

it can be done.
You've served your sentence.

And Alex Proyas is an interesting pick for directing Green Lantern, but he mostly make films that are dark like the first Crow with Brandon Lee & Dark City. I really don't know if that make him right for GL, since GL film should be brighter than some of his films & the fact it should be somewhat colorful too. While "I, Robot" isn't dark like the 2 films I mention, it is still not bright kind like for GL. At least IMHO.
How about Proyas for a Martian Manhunter movie instead?
There is never a middle ground.
Good suggestion!

I like Proyas. I think he can bring something to the table by directing a GL film. Granted The Crow and Dark City were dark films, but I Robot wasn't. I just think Alex is do, and he would be a good choice to do a comic genre film IMO. I'm thinking the GL film will have a balance of dark and bright elements, but the film will should be fun sci fi film with a great story that is inspirational. A film that entrenches the audience into the world of the Green Lantern Corp. From what it sounds like, they plan on showing Sinestros descent into betrayel and villainy instead of just having him start out as the main baddie. That is the way to go....![]()
That GL movie does indeed sound awesome, I hope they make it, soon, but in regards to Proyas, I personally think he is more suited to a Silver Surfer movie.
If Smallville was on any network other than the WB, those numbers would have led to its cancellation. CBS just canceled the "Ex-List" due to low ratings and it was pulling 5.3 million viewers on Fridays, a night when numbers are always weak, compared to to 3.7 million viewers for "Smallville" on Thursdays, which is a night that has strong ratings numbers. The seventh season finished up in May with an average of 3.7 million viewers per episode, down considerably from the 6.3 million tuning in back in Season Two.
