I think Bellucci is a more well known actress than most of the suggestions in this thread, except for Charlize maybe, and Angeline Jolie.

But the picture I posted is of her in movie makeup. It's a still from Spectre or at least a set photo.

I don't think it is, and the photo has too much sharpness anyway.
Besides, she won't wear makeup to make look her much younger in Spectre, just to look good. In Wonder Woman they would specifically do a "rejuvenescent" makeup.

Cate Blanchett would fit the clay origin version but not the New 52 version. Cate looks so different from Gal that they don't look at all related, so she wouldn't be suitable for Hippolyta at all.

This is just in the New 52/Final Crisis, and there can be a Nubia in the regular universe that is not Wonder Woman, like in the Post-Crisis version.

She is a traditional character from the Wonder Woman lore and is good for the diversity. I know some people will want Phillipus, but I think Nubia is a more popular character for the non hardcore fans, and they are different characters on their own so maybe they both appear. She was even set to appear in the TV show, but it didn't happen because of the network change.

To be honest, I am more familiar with Phillipus than Nubia. I remember Nubia only from Final Crisis. Then again, I wouldn't call myself a hardcore fan. t:
