We are Amazons!! The Amazonians Casting Thread - Part 1

She looked okay in Before I go to Sleep as well.

Haven't seen it, though I was meaning to. Anyway, I'm sure they'll make her look good (natural) in WW. And will tell her to lay off the botox for a while. :hehe:

I would've preferred someone else than Kidman. She's not looking as good these days as when she was Chase Meridian (or was it Meridian Chase?) or in "To Die For". Those were her best years. Didn't she recently play Princess Grace of Monaco?

I wanted a darker beauty, not one so pale skinned.

Interesting that they go after two actresses for presumably the same role with an age gap betw-

....wait, hang on, she's 48? :wow: ...that makes sense in retrospect but I for some reason thought she was in her late 30s. :funny:

Two actresses? Who is the other one?

Sorry to disappoint everyone but Nicole's role is not who you're all thinking.

She's playing Jason Todd

Kidman seems to do well with character that have a sort of authority/regalness to them. So this would be a decent choice I think. And she's around the right age to.

*Waits for someone to reply with "but Amazons are immortal and they're not supposed to age."*

:o

I think Charlize Theron seems more regal than Kidman, but maybe she's considered too young at the moment?

I doubt it. I think that they just might not be able to get her right now. Maybe she doesn't want to be type-cast, or she's angling for Captain Marvel, or something.

If Kidman is in negotiations for the Hippolyta role nobody should be surprised. It doesn't matter what the comics say or how young the character is drawn they were never going to hire a 35 year old for the role. And I could be wrong but I do believe that's the role WB are trying to get her for.

Gal Gadot looks fair skinned in some instances, but if Kidman is playing Hippolyta, they can use some makeup to give her a subtle tan.

I'm actually surprised Kidman is circling a big studio film like this. Would've thought The Golden Compass would've 'encouraged' Kidman to stick with low-budget indie fare permanently.

She could also maybe pull off playing Hera. She looks quite similar to the New 52 version certainly. As for the Amazons, I SEE SPIDEY is right. They were never going to go for someone in their early 30's to play WW's mother/queen of the Amazons.

Hey, I agree. Good luck convincing some other people in that though.

And that's probably the lighting, as she normally has more olive skin. She's never quite as white as a sheet as Kidman though.

The Hype frequently picks rather bad photos for their front page articles. The one they've used for Kidman is no exception:

The Joker when he was a contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race. :o

LOL, I love these "make-up malfunctions" in the age of HD photography.
