You're not alone, there are a number of people that didn't like a lot of things in this movie. I enjoyd the movie but cannot stand all the ridiculous plot holes and the dodgy editing, so there will always be negatives to the positives, just depends on personal opinion on how they effect you.

Ya know, i guess its because i was never originally in to transformers. i mean dont get me wrong, i nearly peed when i saw optimus prime and i loved the scenes with the autobots. i also loved shia labeouf but i just didnt like that movie and hate it a little mor eveery time i hear my sister tell me how much she liked it.

I'm sorry for those who didn't/couldn't enjoy the movie. For those who went to see Transformers expecting an indepth story & characters, well I laugh at you! I enjoyed Transformers but I honestly didn't go into the movie with huge expectations. You can only do so much with the story from a cartoon that was from the 1980s & try to integrate it for the 21st century movie goers..... The graphics were amazing, the action was intense & well the story is really about Sam..... I can't wait for the 2nd sequel by Michael Bay again! It's just a Blockbuster Summer Popcorn Movie! Get over it!
I've been reading everyone complaining about how the story line sucked but no one has mentioned how amazing & detailed the Autobots were. How the action was probably the best I've seen for this summer in theatres!

I actually think this statement is totally false. There's a ton one can do with this source material.


The problem comes in trying to cram 26 episodes worth of character development, with an open ending, into a 150 minute film that must have some sort of endpoint.

You're not alone. Even the people that liked it seemed to like it because of or despite its sucktitude. I thought the movie was dumber than any cartoon.

That script was all over the place. The acting and humor didn't bother me. The whole "Autobots at Spike's House" got me pretty heated, specially hearing Optimus Prime whine like a little ***** ass. The magical ass-kicking, and then disappearance, of Barricade. The ***** 30 second fight between Optimus and Bonecrusher. Optimus arriving late to the final fight. The seemingly kinda like tacked on death of Jazz. The in and out of Starscream in the final fight. Brawl being mis-named, and then firing at.............nothing the whole time he was on screen fighting back from being raped by everyone.

Lotta issues. I'm a huge movie fan, and this is stuff that pisses me off.

Out of 6 people I went with, only 1 person, my best bud, loved it. 1 thought it was "OK" and 4 hated it, including me. One of the guys fell asleep (he's a doctor... I guess overworked).

We drank and debated it to no end afterwards. Much fun.

I hated Transformers, it sucked big time. An insult to that which it is based on. The little time you do see the Autobots they're acting like the three stooges. And what action there is is really no big deal. Those who say it's good are those who won't admit to themselves it sucks.

I'd be willing to bet CFlash and I could pen a better script by next weekend...

That's pretty much his appeal. He's the "teen" of the group but still willing to lay it on the line.

Nah man. Simply put the script in this movie should not have started life as a JOHN (Catwoman) ROGERS story. Simple as that.
