The Dark Knight Rises What Do You NOT want to see in Batman 3?

People keep mentioning that they don't want to see Batman die in the third flick. Was that ridiculousness actually rumored at some point?

It was actually. I remember reading rumours of Wayne Enterprises being blown up,with Batman in it.

Robin - in any shape or form be it Tim Drake, Jason Todd or Dick Grayson

Harley Quinn - as cool as the character is on print, she doesn't work in the Nolanverse and is lame without the Joker. If anything, a small cameo in Arkham is all.

Rachel Dawes Resurrection

Riddler would be a great villain to mess with Batman's mind with all those riddles. Both previous movies have had a villain that challenged Batman mentally. Need to continue that trend. Plus Riddler's riddles let Batman show off his detective skills.

As much as I like the character, I think we haven't yet reached the full potential of him. Nolan could do something great with him. To me he seems like a logical next step in the third film. But I won't get my hopes up.

Dont you think Batmans mind has been messed up already? I mean Joker already tricked Batman a lot in The Dark Knight. Riddler is a good character just not for the next movie

I'm torn when it comes to the Batmobile.

I just don't see why Batman would go from using the Tumbler, which was a good all round all-terrain vehicle, to using a more basic car type vehicle. It just seems like a step back. The Batmobile (at least most variations we have seen) wouldn't be as versatile as the Tumbler was, if only for the wheels.

And I know they could just design a Batmobile with big all-terrain tyres, but then wouldn't it just more resemble a Tumbler 2.0?

I take a new Batmobile as how they dealt with Batman needing a new and better costume; to have a Batmobile, or just Tumber 2.0 would make it become more sleek in its look, and to be able to make turns better, imo.

IMO. Riddler's not about messing up anyones mind, just challenging it.

I REALLY dont want a daft FBI thing where he lays out traps trying to catch Batman and fails all the time. The whole thing becoming obsessed with his Riddler persona...what the hell? That isnt his character at all,and it doesn't fit with OCD,thats dual personality.

So...becoming obsessed with something doesn't fit with obsessive compulsive disorder.

Really.

And dual personality would apply more to Scarface.

Two-Face as well in some incarnations.

Not a personality.

OCD is when youre obsessed with unusual habits. A compulsion to open and close a door repeatedly. Turning on and off a light repeatedly. Repeatedly stalking people. Riddler's case is obsessed with repeatedly leaving riddles and traps.

Yes, and stalking Batman.

He's obsessively compulsed with leaving riddles.

Obsessive. Compulsion. He has a disorder.

Exactly. But Ive never heard a case of split personality being based on OCD. Thats usually schizophrenia. Thats not Riddler's illness.

Who said he would have a split personality?

It wouldn't be Edward Nygma and then he'd turn into Riddler.

They'd be the same person, except he would just be "riddler" more than edward nygma as the movie progresses.

Becoming more and more obsessed with Batman and outsmarting/killing him.

Right you are. Joker is all about messing with your head, which Heath's Joker did so brilliantly to Batman, Dent, and all of Gotham.

As long as he aint a fed who who uses "The Riddler" persona to combat Batman,Im fine with it. :)

Not really. Joker sets things up to mess with a person.

Riddler challenges them to literally a puzzling game. Its a very different feeling from the both of them.

And why not up the ante on that?

Make the puzzles and games deadly, like in The Animated Series.

A maze full of death traps, with puzzles and riddles that Batman has to solve along the way.

When Joker talks about the "schemers" in TDK, he makes it sound like he's not a schemer, though apparently he is because of his orchestrations. Are you saying that Joker's first orchestration set in place a bunch of dominoes, and the after-effect being the tumbling, thereof?

:awesome:

Joker was bull s**ting Harvey there. Just like when he said he had nothing to do with Rachel's death.

Of course Joker is a schemer. He's just an insane schemer.

Thats a good thought. But Joker does things in all 1 big entire plot,to prove his point of good and bad. Riddler does a range of random things to demonstrate his criminal intellect. Unlike the Joker,he has no grand scheme at the end.

A lot of people dont want The Riddler to be like Jigsaw (Saw). I agree to an extent. Jigsaw puts people in traps to test their appreciation of life, and teach them the lesson of why they got put there in the first place.

The traps in Riddler's 1st comic were for Batman to save 1 or 2 people inside,as they knew the riddle of the next clue. At the end,Batman himself was put in to one,to see if he was truly smart enough to catch the Riddler. Then Riddler faked his death and got away.

The crimes should be a wide range of puzzles for Batman, with the traps appearing randomly.

Oh I forgot that Harvey was in that scene and not Batman. Seriously, is Harvey Dent Batman? I've actually a theory that there were two Jokers in TDK.

I dont want to see:
- Angelina Jolie as Catwoman
- Robin
- The Penguin
- Batman dying

That`s about all i can come up with... hopefully Nolan agrees with me :oldrazz:
