My only personal complaint is Emma's fate.
Kitty random power to send minds back in time was never explained..........
Well, they didn't show hers(from what I and most people could tell), but yes, those were really freaky.I have to say, seeing those autopsy photos was really chilling. And heartbreaking. If I was in Mystique's shoes, I wouldn't have shot Trask. I would have quartered him.
It was a gift from Xavier's new body.
It could just be a secondary mutation.
huh?
Would be nice to have a throw away line, but does it really need to be explained? Can't you just take it as is? Movie Kitty has the power to send people's consciences back in time. She was born that way? Lol.
I dont even know how you could really explain it, tbh.
That doesn't mean anything? Then they should have removed that line, right? It could be a hint. And the producers already said they are open to do more films with the OT cast and even Patrick Stewart gave a hint in doing more X-Men films. The fact that Fox is not saying that this is it for the OT cast, means its not really the end for them. It could be, but its not set in stone.
Really enjoyed the film but have two main problems. Like most people, how did wolverine get his adimantium back and at the end of credit scene for the wolverine, it was all sunny and there was really no indication for days of future past. Seems like in days of future past the sentinel problem was world wide. I would think wolverine would have opened the newspaper paper at some point. I know for days of future past it needed to be explained, but it really didn't sync up from that after credit scene.
For another poster, after mystique kills trask, I believe they get mystique and hold her prisoner, extracting her DNA. It was immidiately after she kills trask. I was thinking rogue would have been more appropriate for the sentinels, but then I was thinking, in the comics mystique is rogues mother, maybe what's in mystique is similar to rogue. In xmen, rogue has a family but she could have been adopted and it just wasn't delved into.
None of these films are ever perfect, it's easy to nitpick - like, for example, why are Wolverine's memories (seen in DoFP and other films) viewed where we can see his face as though being watched by someone else. He wouldn't remember it that way, surely; he'd see it through his own eyes.
The Wolverine took place in 2013, the after-credits in 2015. At that point, the Sentinel program had been restarted, but it was early days and only Xavier/Magneto probably knew about what that would mean. It wasn't until later that things went to hell.
How does he get his adamantium back? Must have been Magneto's doing.
Mystique isn't Rogue's actual biological mother, lol. So their powers aren't similar because of heredity passing them on. And that relationship just doesn't exist in the films anyway. It gets a bit soap opera delving into these family links.
Didn't like the "Hulk" angle with Beast, as it served no character purpose. There was no arc to it, with Hank finally becoming "mutant and proud", or what have you. It had of had using the serum to try and throw off the sentinel, but that was ultimately futile, so it didn't serve any consequential story purpose either. Just less Beast being Beast.
Like most people, how did wolverine get his adimantium back and at the end of credit scene for the wolverine,
Anyone else feel like they dropped the ball with Trask?? They didn't give him a soild reason for hating mutants or killing and experimenting on the others like Emma, Angel, Azezel etc. He just hated mutants just because the plot needed him to. Stryker in X2 for example was given a motivation as to why he was doing what he was doing unlike Trask.
