The Dark Knight Rises. Still awesome. 9/10

Amour

I tried watching this on 3 separate occasions and I still couldn't get though with it, luckily on my 4th try I finally managed to see the end and if there's one word to describe this film, it would be mundane. I almost felt claustrophobic seeing this because this entire film takes place on one set. Nothing about this film was significant and while this film is about mostly sentiment and deconstruction of an elderly couple, it fails for me on almost every level. Seriously, how is this nominated and getting high praise, I have no clue...probably I'm not pretentious enough to see it.
4/10

Dude, just look at that poster. :funny:

lol My only reason to watch it was because it was nominated for best picture, I'd like to know at least what they think are the best films of that year...apparently they would blindly pick a film just because it has subtitles. lol

Sometimes I think the Academy just take the piss. :lmao:

Two things Steven Seagal should never do in his movies, have sex and run, he does both in this mediocre actioner that starts out quite well but doesn't have enough punch in it's pay-off. 5.5/10

Tron Legacy. 9/10. Seriously, this world needs more Tron

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Volume 1)

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Volume 2)

Borat

Agreed. I maintain my opinion that his two best films are Above The Law and Marked For Death.

Many people praise Under Seige as his best film, but I disagree. Tommy Lee Jones' character was built up to be a total badass, a worthy adversary of Steven Seagal's. But in their climactic fight, which lasted all of 30 seconds, Tommy Lee Jones gets cut and stabbed about a dozen times and his head driven into a computer monitor, while Steven Seagal gets a tiny little cut over his eye. THAT's supposed to be an even match up? The climaxes of Above The Law and Marked For Death are far less one sided, making them far more exciting and thus, more entertaining.

I'm a big fan of Glimmer Man. I see to remember the action in The Patriot being pretty good too, although it's been a long time since I've seen it. (not to be confused with the Mel Gibson film of the same name)

Am I the only person whose first thought was the guy was asking her "Why so serious?" on that poster?

This was a let down for me too. The supermarket scene was great, so was his escape from the hospital. Otherwise meh. Until this glorious moment...

Still holds up after all this time. 10/10

Django Unchained - 4/5

A great ode to classic Westerns and exploitation films, featuring fantastic characters and performances from everyone (well done Christoph Waltz). I must say though, some of the music choices at times were just plain odd, and the last 30-40 minutes just dragged to high heaven. The dialogue was also at times, pure Tarantino self-indulgence.

I watched this for the first time a few weeks ago. Absolutely ****ing brilliant. These are the kind of roles RDJ needs to take on a little more often.

I still haven't been compelled enough to see it. I guess it's because it's a normal people with old people, and plus I hear it's really depressing.

Friday The 13th Part 2 (1981)

As a sequel, 10/10. As an overall movie, 9/10 (sequels are inherently inferior to the originals, though this one is better than most).
