Did u cry? u can admit it, most of us in The Impossible thread owned up to it :oldrazz:. It's incredible to me that it was a true story.

Nope did not cry even once.

Despite the dreadful dialogue and stilted acting I have always had a soft spot for this film, the director creates a real sense of dread in this post apocalyptic earth and shoots the fight scenes really well, the only disappointment is that the final showdown between Van Damme and the fearsome villain is rushed into, and while the setting is great for it, it's clear the guy is not a stunt fighter and so it's just a bunch of dull close up edits and over the top sound effects.

6.5/10

^^^^ 9.5/10

I'd give it an 8/10 :D Shame we'll never get to see Tarantino's version, none the less it turned out to be a great film. Probably the 4th of 5th I've seen it.

Gangster Squad - 3.5/5

First official film of 2013 for me. 33% on RT is a ridiculous rating. Just got back from it and all in all it was a fun enjoyable time. Some great performances and a really eye-catching style and tone. The main problems are that the story, though enjoyable, has been done plenty of times before (comparisons to The Untouchables are unavoidable). The exposition can explain how each character feels way too much, especially with Josh Brolin. Josh and Ryan Gosling are fantastic as always however.

By the way, Josh Brolin for an aged Bruce Wayne/Batman. Please.

Probably between a 5-7 / 10. I think it was an improvement over the previous entry---which I did enjoy to but would rank last in the series btw. I did like the game characters this time around and enjoyed the returning characters for the most part.

On a best to worst I would do Resident Evil > Apocalypse > Extinction > Retribution > Afterlife...

Zero Dark Thirty 9/10

I found this to be enthralling and Jessica Chastain did a wonderful job.

Les Misérables (9/10): i'm a sucker for musicals, so i enjoyed this one. I wouldnt be upset at all if Hugh Jackman won the Academy Award. Very solid performance from him, and everyone else, really.

The English title of the second one is Carnival of Sinners.
Yeah, I caught this one night as part of the BBC's 'Moviedrome' series, really good, and quite freakshow scary!
A true grindhouse classic indeed. I've always liked at the end of the trailer when the announcer said, "When you race with the devil, you better be faster than hell."

I watched TCM's Sal Mineo marathon which included:

Cheyenne Autumn 7.5/10
The Gene Krupa Story 7/10
The Young Don't Cry 5/10
and
The Dangerous Days of Kiowa Jones 7/10
Next up is on Crime On The Streets
