What's The Last Movie You Watched? - - Part 19

That bad huh? lol

It was painful. Every skit (if that's what you'd call them) may have had a funny or original premise, but then they extend it 20 minutes until you hate them for it. It's the ****ing worst. None of the actors in it were funny at all, the jokes were lame, stale and plain not funny. I advise avoiding that abomination at all costs.

just saw Lockout with Guy Pearce...sure it was a dumb action movie but his character is the kind of hero we've been lacking since John McClane. ****ing loved every second of his character. wish they would make more movies with him, it be a dumb, fun as hell action series.

Kill Bill: Volume II - 4.5/5

Actually preferred this much more than Volume I. Enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would seeing how mixed I feel sometimes watching Tarantino films.

Ted

Had me nearly in tears. 8/10 right now. Might change.

I'm not a fan of that movie. Thought it was okay. 5/10 for me.

Anyways, I just watched Army of Darkness again last night. Girl said she was a feminist and that movie was sexist. :whatever: I just found it to be absurd and over the top, but not sexist. 7.5 to 8/10 for me.

Richard Roeper calls it the Citizen Kane of awful.

I read that review. Far from turning me off the film, many of the skits he described sounded quite hilarious. I'll actually be seeing this one when before it wasn't even on my radar. Tastelessness never offends me in films. Only pompous self importance/righteousness can do that. So sign me up for Movie 43!

Here's the thing, the skit's do sound hilarious. The concepts are pretty funny, but the execution is so miserably poor that the life gets sucked out of them really fast.

Well, I'll stream it first to see just how poor the execution is. Keep in mind, I loved Kung Pow: Enter the Fist so the more out there the humor is the better I'll like it.

Kung Pow is one of my favorite comedies. I love strange "out-there" humor. Movie 43 missed the mark badly. I liken it to a nightmare version of Robot Chicken. Robot Chicken works because each skit is a punchline that does it's joke and moves on. Movie 43 does it's joke and punchline and then steps on the gas to be more outrageous and it just doesn't work.

The Perks of being a Wallflower 9/10

Logan Lerman is the future.

The greatest horror film of the 80's: A Nightmare on Elm Street!

This is 40

A good but somewhat uneven comedy from Apatow.
(I found terrible that they -kinda- spoiled the end of Lost. I'm surprised they let them use one of the last shots of the show. If someone was planning to see that awesome show, they will have it partially ruined)

7/10

Seven Psychopaths

Another good film from the director of the superior In Bruges. Great performances, and a Tarantino feel to it.

7/10

I'll give it a 2.5/10

Not me, there's enough to laugh at in the film that I couldn't rank it that low. Now TDK, THAT I could give a 2.5/10.

I really hope you were drunk while watching this, lol.

I don't drink. The movie just happened to be on the Hub network last night so I was bored and sat through it. Nothing else was on.
