The Fall

Can't believe it took me this long to watch it but I'm glad that I did. Absolutely stunning visuals, it's like watching a artist paint the most beautiful piece of art. What's even better was the actual story between the little girl and the stunt actor. It had both sweet and tragic moments and both of which was done really well.
9/10

Safety Not Guaranteed (2012)

A really charming, strangely relate-able film. It's really feel good, in a more grounded way (Even though it's pretty out there) despite being quite sad at points. Really impressive.

There's a cameo by a certain actress whom, despite her considerable talent is always doing crappy rom-coms, so I was glad to see her in something like this.

As for the director, Colin Trevorrow, I would love to see a Flight of the Navigator with characters, relationships and the heart of this film. Maybe he could give Nicolas Cage a role.

I've fallen into the tradition of seeing the Best Picture frontrunner - which becomes the Best Picture winner - on the day of the show, and indeed the last movie I watched was Argo, a few hours before the Oscars. I don't think it's the best movie of 2012 at all, but it's really good, and I'm not mad that it won.

Argo

10/10

I can see why WB wants Affleck so bad for a Justice League film. He's one hell of a director and the [blackout]last shot of the Star Wars and Star Trek toys alongside the Argo storyboard[/blackout] was pretty brilliant. Great, great film and it deserves all the accolades it's getting.

Brave - 6/10

Started of high but spiraled down once the queen turns into a bear. Merida never fully realized her mistake.

Deja Vu, starring one of my favourite actors, Denzel Washington.
