Argo (**** yourself) (2012)

This movie had already won me over with the old Warner Bros logo. In any case, it was a superb film all around. Great performances, great tension (It almost feels like a horror movie at times) and especially Affleck's direction, which really captured the Sydney Lumet 70's vibe. Fantastic and completely deserving of all it's accolades.

Superman/Batman Public Enemies. Forgot how great this is. Oh and I sooooo want Amanda Waller played by CCH Pounder in a JL movie. She's such a fantastic actress and her voice work here really stands out. Anybody that's seen any of The Shield knows how intense of a role she can play

The Typewriter, the Rifle & the Movie Camera - Invaluable/10

Jack the Giant Slayer

Jack_the_Giant_Slayer_poster.jpg

The legendary story of Jack and the beanstalk in the film Jack the Giant Slayer ,takes its
time to get going.Nicholas Hoult as Jack is likeable enough for you to root for him,but the film
has such a drawn out beginning ,i found myself saying lets get to the beanstalk and the giants already!!
There are some fun and adventurous moments but not enough wit or peril to truly hold my attention
for its almost 2 hour running time.

Scale of 1-10 a 7

Pariah

As her family grows apart 17 year old Alike (Adepero Oduye) begins to embrace her sexuality and begins a relationship and has
to deal with all of the changes and turmoil that come with the aforementioned.

Scale of 1-10 a 10

The Sweeney

Movies_the_sweeney_poster.jpg

If you liked the films Heat or The Town you will definitely enjoy The Sweeney. Ray Winstone is terrific
as the leader of a unique group of cops that take on tough crews of thieves. There are a few
preposterous moments, but not enough to stop this from being a sleak British crime drama.

Scale of 1-10 an 8½

The Debt 4/5

It was on HBO and found it surprisingly good, even the wooden plank called Sam Worthington was decent in it I guess since he wasn't the lead in the movie, and Jessica Chastain was good in it too.

Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story
9.5/10

Forever a favorite

The Descendants 3/5

Not a film I'd pay in theaters to see but it was on HBO so I figured what the hell.

Captain America: TFA (8.5/10)

Not as good as the first two films but a solid addition to the mythology. 6/10

Top Gun (1986)

Every single thing I loved about Tony Scott's films can... not be found here. Ugh, awful film.

It is however a fantastic comedy. I laughed my arse off for the majority of the film.

Dredd - 3/10
The Wrestler - 8.7/10
The Lion King 1/2 - 4/10

Lawless - Not sure/10

The Raven - Couldn't finish/10

Killing Them Softly - 8/10

Seven Psychopaths - Not what I expected. Still processing it I think.
