Princess Mononoke (1997) 8/10

- The wolf girl is a badass and the fantastical elements were sweet.
- I was invested into the story.

Howl's Moving Castle (2004) 9/10

- A lot of great characters to fall in love with.
- The magical and fantastical elements pleased this magic lover.

Howl is just........ handsome, charming and an enchanting character. :ilv:

Insurgent 5/10

It wasn't awful, it wasn't good. Didn't really create any emotions to one way or another. Was happy to see Maggie Q again though haha.

(Going to see Ex Machina today, really excited!)

Noah, not as bad as people were making it out to be. IMO

Been a while since I watched that. I should dig it up again some time.

It is indeed a fun film - I just started reading the book. Only about 7 chapters in, but I already recommend it.

My Neighbor Totoro (1988) 9/10

- This movie was so cute and fluffy in all kinds of ways with the story being about two sisters.

- Totoro is a huge ball of fluffy cuteness, even though he only roars. :woot:

- That Catbus is freaky and looks like a distant relation to the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.

Kiki's Delivery Service (1989) 8/10

- I'm a sucker for stories about witches and this movie really pleased me in all kinds of ways.

- I love the cute friendship between Tombo and Kiki. :woot:

- It made me feel nostagic for Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

Ponyo On The Cliff By The Sea (2008) 10/10

- This movie is the dictionary definition of cute, adorable and fluffy.

- Fujimoto is a showstealer and a weirdly dressed wizard, compared to Howl. :whatever:

- It was a nice little magical adventure that I recommend to a lot of people on here.

The Punisher: Extended Cut.

Saw War Zone a couple of weeks ago... and it was as bad is I remembered it to be. This was as good as I remembered it.

Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid (1973)

I had seen bits and pieces of this growing up but this is the first time I sat through the whole thing. As a huge fan of Sam Peckinpah I'm always looking forward to viewing more of his work. Peckinpah like Sergio Leone is one of the quintessential Western directors who bring their unique perspectives to the genre. The casting in this is interesting with James Coburn and Kris Kristofferson giving excellent performances as the title characters. The soundtrack by Bob Dylan who also appears in the film is fantastic and fits the time period perfectly. Of course there is something inherently cool about seeing Kristofferson and Dylan interact on screen. There are also noteworthy appearances from Jason Robards, Slim Pickens and Harry Dean Stanton. The action and shootouts are all well done and I thought the ending and build up to were very satisfying.

Michael Mann's "HEAT".

Doesn't matter how many times I've seen it, the ending will always give me the feels. It is beautifully shot, acted, paced and edited. I don't think there is a movie, in my eyes, that ends on a better note than HEAT.
