X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014):

I keep going back and forth on whether this is my favorite X-Men movie, or if First Class is my favorite. I'm still thinking that First Class is my favorite, simply because Michael Fassbender's Magneto is, hands down, my favorite character in all of the X-Men movies, and most of First Class is about him.

Days of Future Past is still an impressive feat, though. I was pessimistic about how this movie was going to turn out, but I was very happy to be proven wrong. I don't think it's a perfect movie, but it knocked it out of the park where it counted. The climax of the movie is one of the most intense I've seen in a comic book movie.

Also, James McAvoy is such an underrated actor. He was amazing in both the X-movies he's been in, but he was especially stellar in Days of Future Past.

Out of the past..!! Best film noir ever!!

Zoolander! My favourite comedy of all time

Cronocrimenes/TimeCrimes

This should have a cult following. I hope more americans gave some love to great foreign films and not wait to see the crappy remakes.

Pacific Rim (2013)

Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment (1985)

The Counselor (2013)

I really liked this one. It's a very interesting and unconventional film about the inevitability of death and how we react when we stand at it's door. It's been a theme through Ridley Scott's career, but it's definitely been ramping up his his latest films. My real major gripe being I think Cameron Diaz was miscast, it was like seeing your high school teacher in wearing a skanky dress in a night club, just awkward.

Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai. This is the best ****ing movie ever made and I will fight any who disagree.

Chappie

I enjoyed it for the most part, although right from the start I saw that Ninja from Die Antwoord was the obvious problem and he was definitely going to annoy me for the duration so the less said about him the better. Anyway, I honestly thought the scenes with Chappie and Yolandi were quite cute e.g. ''Mommy'', I really didn't mind her at all and a few of their scenes actually had me chuckling. Also, Hugh Jackman's 'Vincent' character comes across as a bit of an obsessed and unstable nut job, I never really bought his angle at all, so I guess that was quiet disappointing too. 6/10

A bold, visceral spectacle that lives up to the hype! 9.5/10

Stick It (2006)
Three O'Clock High (1987)
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

The Last Samurai

Maggie. 4/10. While Schwarzenegger was surprisingly decent in his role, the film itself was flat, boring and completely inconsequential.

The Avengers
The Dark Knight
The Godfather
The Godfather Part II

Shotgun Stories, written and directed by Jeff Nichols, starring Michael Shannon.
