This is probably his most underrated film, in my opinion. Maybe it's because I'm a huge Alfred Hitchcock fan, but I think this movie is hysterical.

My dad was showing me scenes from this the other day I had only heard a little about it but I was dying laughing at the scenes he showed me. The old lady screaming at him at the terminal, the patient getting those pains in his neck back , and "Here's your newspaper!"

It Follows

Really terrifying and smart. But it's 3rd act isnt as strong and polished as the earlier acts. I thought it was gonna be a 9.5/10.

San Andreas

It's better than I thought it would be. The Rock acted his ass off and the rest of the cast was surprisingly good. If anything it reminded me of Day after Tomorrow. So overall pretty decent, but it's nowhere as fun and silly as something like 2012

Spy

Probably the funniest movie since 22 Jump Street. Melissa McCarthy and especially Jason Statham and Rose Byrne were hilarious in it. There's a ton of jokes that kept flying at you and a lot of them stick shockingly enough. I think what the trailers aren't showing you is how brutal this movie is. It takes a page from Kingsman, but it's not as cartoony. Overall, it's definitely worth checking out, it's one of the best Spy spoofs out there.

Insidious: Chapter 3

I kinda don't know how I feel about this one. I will say though it's not a terrible horror movie but it feels lacking in a few areas. It's the most mundane of the series, there's a lot that happens in the beginning but nothing much after that. I will say the family and a few supporting characters were done well but kinda forgotten near the end. The scares weren't as good as the first two. It's clearly Elise Rainier's movie since it's a prequel rather than a sequel, so there's a lot of set up of how she and her crew got together and how the main entity was coming after her even before the first Insidious. Overall, it's a pass if you're already into the Insidious movies but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.

Tomorrowland - The trailers made this film look bland. I was surprised at how fun and exciting Tomorrowland actually was.

It Follows - The 2.35 : 1 aspect ratio really leant to the story where people in the back or sides could possibly be this supernatural being. Beyond being creepy - like the Babadook, its underline meaning was well thought out.

Saw Jurassic Park right now after many, many years as well.

Timeless, magical and still frightening 22 years later. Seriously those special effects are astonishingly real.

Just saw JP III so my final tally

JP1: 10/10 awesome still holds up 22 years later
JP2: 8.5/10 pretty good ran a bit too long the whole San Diego part really did not need to be there (but it was good in spots)
JP3: 8/10 good having Neil back as Alan, but the movie just was part cool/part meh, at least it was shorter than JP 2

I saw this movie this weekend as well. It was so much better than I had expected it to be. I wanted to see this movie because of the cast alone, but as much as I love Melissa McCarthy, her past few movies have sucked. I really wanted this movie to be good, but I didn't expect it to be. I am so happy that my doubts were proven wrong.

Melissa McCarthy's character was written really well in this. She's extremely likable (and definitely the most sane and capable character in the movie). In her past few films, McCarthy has become this gross and idiotic caricature of how Hollywood views fat people. It's a schtick that got old very fast. Instead of laughing at her though, we're laughing with her in this film, and it's great. Most of the jokes work incredibly well, and McCarthy's chemistry with the rest of the cast is fantastic.

Also, I am already in love with Jason Statham, but I love him even more now (if that was even possible). He was hysterical throughout the entire movie. [BLACKOUT]And the little scenes before and after the credits were amazing, especially after the credits when he and Melissa McCarthy broke out of character and started cracking up. Hilarious![/BLACKOUT]
