It Follows

Must say I was a little disappointed, it wasn't as good as I thought it wasn't going to be. It was still enjoyable in parts but on the whole just left me asking questions (which I suppose is kind of the point). I think not been able to wrap my head around it all ruined the film for me tbh and the way it ended was a terrible. I hate films that just end like that.

6/10

10/10 Still a classic after all these years!!!

Narratively, it certainly could have been better. However, it was hilariously entertaining and had the audience laughing through the closing seconds.

I recommend it to everyone, and I think most people will like it better than the original.

Jurassic Park
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
(2003)

Quantum of Solace

I always liked this one and found it to be a little underrated, but then again it had to follow Casino Royale and then be Followed by Skyfall, two of the best Bond Films ever made.

9/10. So many quotable lines.

"That's not your mother, it's a MAN, BABY!"

"I will ransom the world for (pause, zoom) 100 billion dollars!"

"I said I wanted sharks with frickin laser beams attached to their heads!"

"Who does Number 2 work for?"

"Jesus boy! What'd you eat!?"

TOTAL RECALL (2012) Colin Farrell, Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale.

Decent action, good special effects, and some of the dumbest **** I have seen in a big budget movie.

Ted 2

5/10

It had a few funny moments, but over all was mostly disappointing.

The Birdcage. Still a good movie.

Patrice O'neal hit it on the head. McFarlane's crawled up his own ass. Still enjoyable, though. And holy cow Amanda Seyfried is beautiful.

Twins (1988): Definitely a "guilty pleasure" type of movie. It's such a dopey movie ... But damn if Arnold singing "Yakety Yak" doesn't crack me up every time. :funny:

American Psycho (2000): Love, love, love this movie. Still my favorite Christian Bale performance.

The Illusionist (2006): Overrated. I was pretty bored with the characters, and the movie just seemed to be trying too hard. I had been avoiding this movie solely because of Paul Giamatti (I'm sorry, but I cannot stand him, and yes, I've hated him long before we all even knew he was in TASM2). Giamatti is his usual annoying self in this, and his face ruined the otherwise somewhat clever ending to the movie. Spending the last 40 seconds of this film with his stupid face mugging at the camera made me angry. Yes, angry. Did I mention that I hate Paul Giamatti? :funny: The dude is like nails on a chalkboard to me; everybody has those actors that they (irrationally) hate, right? Anyway, when it comes to magician movies that came out in 2006, The Prestige kicks The Illusionist's butt.

The Rescuers Down Under (1990): Found it on Netflix, and immediately had to watch it. This was one of my favorites as a kid.

Ruby Sparks (very similar to Stranger Than Fiction with a romantic and sometimes dark theme)
