The last one is Django, Kill...If You Live, Shoot! and it features the recently deceased Ray Lovelock in an early role.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016)

Decent action thriller on par with the first one arguably at times even a little better. Still think the live action version pales in comparison to the books though.

Girls Trip

Thought it was pretty standard and a bit generic for a comedy. This movie is less 'Rough Night' and more 'Bridesmaids' which i'm also not really a fan of. It also becomes a concert movie a certain point which I didn't care for. Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, and Tiffany Haddish have their archetypes they play and it's as predictable when the drama starts creeping in. Didn't think a lot of the jokes landed and some sight gags were kinda lame and done before. Overall, it's not terrible, but it's not great.

Murder On The Orient Express

It's a very nice and stylish take on a classic novel. I thought Kenneth Branagh did a fantastic job on not only directing this, but acting as well. He plays eccentric really well. The rest of the cast also did a fine job especially Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer. As for the ending, I did fear it might become hokey and cheesy, but they did a decent job on the follow through. My only issue with the movie would be the 1st/2nd act before the murder, I wish we had more clues and more interaction with all the passengers. Other than that, I thought it was a very solid murder mystery movie.

Daddy's Home 2

It's every bad formulaic comedy sequel that's ever been made. Almost every joke in here feels like it was written 10+ years ago and they forgot to update it. Outside of a few cheap chuckles, it's as bad as the first one, if not worse.

The Glass Castle

It's a memoir based melodrama that relies too much on sentimentality and angst that it becomes kinda generic. It's a shame that this movie came out a year after Captain Fantastic because it very much feels like that's what they were aiming for. And I couldn't help but to think I wanted to watch that again over this. That being said, I thought it had some good moments spread throughout, even if it became all schmaltzy. The cast did a decent job, but Brie Larson and Woody Harrelson were the main stars moving this. Overall, it's just okay.

I just saw Patriots Day which was very good. 7/10. Peter Berg seems to excel at effectively & dramatically re-telling true stories these days.

The Lego Batman Movie (2017)

Watched this on HBO as it aired last night. It is just as fun as the original LEGO movie but even crazier and definitely requires multiple viewings in order to fully appreciate it and to catch all of the references.

Murder On The Orient Express - 2017 - Good, though I wasn't entirely sold on the way they approached the story. Really enjoyed it overall though. Great classic mystery, the cast was very good, and personally I thought Branagh was very charming too, even if I didn't entirely like how Portroit was portrayed. - 7.5 / 10

The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996)
