Wonder Woman - still a great solo and realisation of one of my favourite DC heroes.

Justice League. Loved the **** out of it, faults be damned. 9/10. :super:

I guess you could say I had an apocalypse weekend.

Fire in the Sky (1993)

I remember thinking this was pretty creepy the first time I watched it as a kid. At times it feels and plays out like an episode of The X-Files. The casting is good and there are some decent performances but the real highlight is the practical special effects. I felt that they mostly hold up well particularly the alien abduction experience which is the most disturbing and terrifying part of the film.

The Ultimate Warrior looks an interesting watch....hits google.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Rupture (2016 )

Banal and uninteresting torture porn despite the casting of Michael Chiklis, Kerry Bishe and Peter Stormare. The twist is that these torture experiements are being carried out in order to evolve people to the point where it changes them on a genetic level. Honestly I was expecting more from the director of Secretary (2002).

Justice League.

Not a perfect film by any means...but I enjoyed it. :)

LOGAN
QUALITY = 9/10
JOY = 8.5/10

That is a triumphant finale to the series and the marathon, it doesn't break the continuity any more than it already is. And they made a wise choice ignore Origins, or rather discarding it from continuity.

I don't think I noticed that one of the kids in Eden has a Wolverine action figure on first view, that's actually neat. The funeral scene is an end of a journey, and it should have been a tear jerker for me, but it didn't quite reach that height.

My finalized ranking of all the movies in this series this marathon:
  1. X-Men United (love it)
  2. First Class (love it)
  3. Logan (significantly more enjoyable on second viewing)
  4. Days of Future Past (I highly enjoy it, but it's overrated)
  5. The Last Stand (really like it)
  6. Apocalypse
  7. The Wolverine
  8. X-Men (I like it)
  9. Origins: Wolverine (it's one of those enjoyably stupid movies)
  10. Deadpool (good quality, but not my thing)

Time to watch the HISHE skit for Logan.

I like this film. It is prophetically X-Files-ish with Robert Patrick!
