I remember hating it when I saw it in the theater, but revisiting it all these years later, it's not bad. John Woo goes overboard with the slow motion, the villain is over the top and the story is barely there but... it's enjoyable enough. Shame they didn't bring back Thandie Newton in any of the sequels.

Avengers Infinity War Marathon: Thor: The Dark World (2013)

I know this is somehow considered Marvel Studio's worst movie by the geek fandom, but I never thought this was a bad movie. Watching it again, I almost forgot how ambitious this was on a production and cinematography level. Every time they were somewhere that's not Earth, it looked wonderful. And because it was directed by Alan Taylor, he brought in the GoT level of action. People don't bring it up that much, but the best parts about this was the family drama between Loki, Odin, Thor and especially Frigga. For me the best scene in this movie was Frigga's death and funeral. The only thing that this movie has going against it was the villain. They could've made Malekith an interesting character if they didn't bring up his Wikipedia article at the begging of the movie and gave him more of a mystery surrounding him. Instead they gave him some bad dialogue and some really bland motivations. Other than that, it's about the same as Iron Man 2.
