The Avengers "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be Hemsworthy, shall possess the power of Thor" - Part 1

I think the part where Thor says, "ENOUGH!" and basically takes Loki out in one motion seems to show that Thor could take out his bro at any moment to me.

Yep, that's what I got from it too. Which is why I really really can't wait to see what Thor will do in fully pissed off mode in the Avengers. In the trailer clip where he's kneeling and summons mjolnir he looks unbelievably cranky. Hope it's when he's fighting Hulk.

I wouldn't mind hearing something like 'we would have words with thee' too.

I would like for that to be saved for a sequel with Ultron as the main villain.

Married Man. Married Man. Married Man. Married Man. Married Man. Married Man. Married Man. Married Man.

either that or less of the carbs lol

He's been off his workout I see.

I'd have to have a closer inspection :woot:

It makes me wonder though, the hair is for reshoots but the body isn't up to scratch or is the hair growing out for Thor's summer filming. Or maybe the reshoots are all close ups LOL

LOL .... well his diet for his workout didn't have any kind of bad, processed carbs. It was poultry, fish, and vegetables like 5-6 times a day. In fact, I remember him making a comment about killing a chicken if he ever saw one again. :hehe:

Ya, I wondered about how all this works for re-shoots as well.

Sorry for this [fangirl mode off]

I didn't notice too. My first thought was "reshots" because of the blonde long hair but the beard is missing. So probably not.

By the way: his next role is a formula 1 driver. Actually aren't these people too muscular. Maybe this is the reason he's loosing weight.

Yeah, carbs and lots of sleep, if I remember it correctly.

Hubba Hubba!

ETA - There's a brief mention of Thor in an EW article where Chris talks about his Huntsman character.

While Thor had regal refinement, the Huntsman is all brute. "I'm looking forward to letting it all sort of crack around the edges and fall apart instead of having to hold it all together."

Well Hemsworth still has a couple of months left to get ready back into his "Thor" shape and look before he starts filming for the sequel..not that I"m saying that he looks out of shape or anything in those pictures.

I don't know about the Huntsman, but Cabin in the Woods looks pretty cool, specially for a horror fan like me.

but if you eat while you'll working out no matter what type of meat you will bulk up.lol Heck I think Hot dogs would even work. lol no need for entire chickens lol

The problem is that you need proteins in general for building up muscles. Hot dogs has more fat than proteins, with chicken it will be faster - less fat, more proteins.

I remember Chris said that he ate chicken and eggs, boring vegetables - nothing tasty, not even pizza or hamburgers.

Yes, the body shape for a F1 driver isn't bulky at all. They have to be very lean to fit into that tiny driving space. I think it was Nigel Mansell one year who couldn't drive because he couldn't get in the car.

This article talks about him having to lose heaps of weight for Rush ....

http://www.couriermail.com.au/enter...s-he-sheds-kilos/story-e6freq7o-1226243988842

"(Rush) is completely different (from Thor ). I have to lose a whole lot of weight for that," Hemsworth said.
"As soon as that is done I will have to get back into training (for Thor 2 )."

Is it healthy to be constantly losing and gaining all that weight?

Interestingly enough, with his new 'long hair' look, Chris doesn't need no fake wigs anymore)

It's going to be tough on him, that's for sure. They're usually wirey fit looking, not beefcakes.

This article likens an F1 driver to a track & field athlete in terms of diet. I know he's only acting the role, but he'll still have to look the part.

I suspected something like this. First in shape for Thor, then loosing weight for Rush and again training for Thor 2. His salary will turn into compensation for personal suffering.

Ask Christian Bale. He did this extremly for The Machinist and Batman begins. I guess you shouldn't do this to often.

Is it healthy to be constantly losing and gaining all that weight?

He isn't super skinny or unhealthy right now, he still needs to be fit for Rush, just slimmer than Thor. He seems pretty close to his nomal weight. The only problem he might have is having enough time to get back into shape to film Thor2, but I don't know when he starts or finishes Rush, so...

Like Lady Marion said, Bales weight swings have been far more extreme, getting skeletal for The Machinist, big for BB, dropping it again for Rescue Dawn, up again for TDK, dropping it again for The Fighter, up again for TDKR. That guys gotta take it easy.
