Yeah it doesn't look bad it's just not nearly as wild and dangerous looking as it should be, in a way it look's a bit "Storm-esque".

I also want to see Thor use lightning more freely as some points in the movie, like he does in A:EMH and recent comics where he doesn't have to strike a pose everytime he uses it.

Yeah, it should look like a natural extension of his body.

it seems too good to be true to implement all of thor's moves and the fact that he is an experienced warrior was written off by that Ironman kick in the trailer.... but i dont want to jump to conclusions, but i will be very upset if thor is not giving the rightful presentation....
i wish Whedon gives the same attention as he gave to hulk to thor...

Yep, check out this video tribute to Thor on A:EMH and pay attention to how natural his lightning attacks look

Yeah Thor hasn't really been given a chance to shine the the promo thus far, but as long as he's awesome in the film I'd happily look past all of that.

I just wanted to trailers to show a "hint" of Thor using massive power attacks in the film since I was quite sure that his character arc was going to well done.

So until the tv spots start rolling in or I see the actual film itself, I'm going to be a bit concerned with that aspect.

I understand that, I feel the same way and hope the save the best for last - means for the movie.

Would anyone else find it amusing if we saw Thor drinking a cup of coffee in this film?lol

I would scream out for laughing when Selvig brings him a coffee in a plastic cup with a grin.

Ah yes, a foam cup is a lot more amusing when you play the gravity game with it.

Perfect! In the last movie some were saying that the only reason that Thor didn't have that level of lightning use was because of the budget. The Avengers has NO excuse, I'm tired of animated movies depicting the characters' abilities better than live action.

I love how Mjolnir seems to have a mind of its own, with the way it returns to Thor at 1:54 of the vid you posted. I especially love how Mjolnir curves through the sky at 2:29. Even though the way that Mjolnir returned to Thor in the first movie looked good(especially the Jotunheim scene), in certain scenes it looked like a magnet attraction(Odin taking Mjolnir in banishment scene) which I didn't really like. I want to see Mjolnir curving through the air sometimes as it returns to Thor like at 1:24 of this vid:

I love how the clouds spin open as Mjolnir and Thor fly through, as if Thor is commanding the heavens at 1:11-1:20. Make him seem much more godly and I hope scenes like that are in the movie.

Oh yeah, the magnetic-like attraction scene with Odin happens at 1:28

I'm tired of characters powers looking better in animation as well, this film has a budget in the 220-300 million range so there's excuse for any of heroes/villains not to look their absolute best.

Yeah I was watching Hulk Vs Thor the other day and it's really not ALL bad, except for the fact that Thor got pummeled into submission. I do love the way the hammer curves in the video you posted, if I'm not mistaken it also curved through the air when Thor reclaimed his worthiness at the end of THOR.

In "Hulk Vs." Thor does look like a much better fighter than Hulk it's just that they made him so damn weak, he also had some cool lightning uses in the film especially when he used Mjolnir like a lightning comet.

Look how powerful Thor's lightning bolt looks at 1:44 secs and the "lightning comet" attack happens at 1:59 secs - http://youtu.be/FMyONIW4DZM

You're right, that scene completely slipped my mind.

Thor did get pummeled in Hulk vs. Thor but they depicted Asgard and its' inhabitants so well. The part when Hulk(Loki) was trying to lift Mjolnir was epic. How Thor slammed Mjolnir's handle against the ground and summoned all of that lightning followed that the lightning comet move you mentioned was... epic, to say the least. 2:37-3:18

What do you think about Thor being able to fly without the aid of Mjolnir?

Yeah that part was quite epic indeed, unlike most Thor fans I like the idea of Thor being able to fly without the aid of Mjolnir.

There were a few scenes in A:EMH where Thor flew with both arms by his side instead of holding Mjolnir in front of him, I would love for him to do the same in the film at some point.

He does it at 5:23 in this video - http://youtu.be/bdaGUYf45t0

Thor flew even faster than the Quinjet and he deflected a blast from Kang's ship that was powerful enough to destroy all of NYC.

How could he tell the difference? They taste the same.

Hey, who knows what effect coffee has on Asgardian physiology. I would hate to be the one to cause the Avengers to lose Earth to the Redacted Bayliens just because Thor depends on caffeine for this strength.

Makes me think of this gif:

Excuse me I'm goofy today.

With bosses away today I made an executive
decision. It is now official Marvel policy that Thor is stronger than Hulk. Please adjust.

From Stephen Wacker via twitter lol.

What is this "April fools", that's never happen!

Lol :woot:

I'm with you. I like Thor being able to fly without the aid of Mjolnir. In fact, I always hated the idea of him throwing Mjolnir and grabbing the handle to fly. That never made sense to me. I'd rather they keep it simple and keep it that Thor has flight abilities on his own.

I'm okay with Thor flying with Mjolnir because it makes his flight more unique, and not so Superman-esque. But I hate the sight of him spinning Mjolnir like he's a helicopter when he floating in the sky, and what happens if he throws his hammer in mid-flight? Will Thor fall like a meteorite?
