The Avengers "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be Hemsworthy, shall possess the power of Thor" - Part 1

I haven't seen that particular video of it, but I think there's another one floating around that's from another angle (street level). It's moments like that one that make me really hope they put a gag/blooper reel on the DVD/Blu-Ray. *lol*

A blooper reel would be fantastic! Fingers crossed! :woot:

Imho, I felt that some of Thor's greatest moments were displayed during:

1. His fight with Graviton; he dealt the final blow that knocked Graviton into defeat and his whole feat in carrying the landmass back into the ground was awesome.

2. His second fight with Ultron; definitely badass imho.

3. I liked how Thor held his own against the Leader's forces, especially when he owned Absorbing Man.

4. Thor having deflected Kang's energy beam was cool as well

Honestly, given all of the animated interpretations of Thor that I've seen thus far, EMH's was definitely my favorite for having fleshed out the character while having maintained most of his badassery and how strong he really is.

Yeah overall EMH's Thor was the best version of the character we've gotten in animation, the only thing I didn't like was that sometimes he was a bit of an oaf instead of a well trained warrior.

i also enjoy every bit of making of but especially blooper scenes are the best...hope there is a lot of exclusive material on the blu ray dvd...but first comes first...the movie in cinemas ....can't wait....

Another reason Thor wouldn't necessarily be leader: he's charismatic, and good at getting people to follow him. . . but he's not a good *planner*. If everyone followed Thor, then the plan would probably be "bust in, punch people, just do your thing." Which is fine when it works, but the Avengers don't exist for dealing with easy problems.

Yeah Thor is a bit too "action heavy" to be an efficient leader in situations that require planning and strategy.

lol yup, pound first ask questions later.

My favorite version of Thor was from the 90's Hulk chartoon. It was the episdoe where Thor was trying to get Hulk to clam down so that he could take him to Betty Ross. I love the way he talked. It was like a low grade Shakespearian English and his voice was all ways booming and and a slight eco to it.

Yeah, Thor was actually very well represented on IH and FF's toons from the 90s.

As far as presentation is concerned this Thor blows all others out of the water. I mean come on his voice alone demands respected. He has that hollow sound when he speaks. I think it the same processed they used in creating He-mans voice.

Great is line ever used againt Hulk. It sounds so Freakin GODLY.

Every thing was better during the 90's :csad:

Great stuff, indeed. Poor Abomination, caught in the middle of a Thor-Hulk tussle. :)

The 60 second rule was so lame, I'm glad they eventually dropped it.

Given how Whedon has noted that he understands the level of power that Thor possess, I'm kind hoping to see now on Thor taking on some of the major players from Loki's army as well since he could handle a lot more than some of his teammates could.

Heck, just from watching his fight with the Destroyer alone..when Thor's upbeat heroic theme starts playing on screen, you know that things just got real and Thor's going to lay down the beating of a lifetime for most of Loki's army.

This is good to hear!
Aside from seeing him take on Loki I too look forward to seeing him pulverize some aliens! If the blood splatter on his armor compared to others is any indication, he may take on quite a few and actually pulverize them! :woot:

LOL That last comment made me think of the book I just read featuring a "very angry thunder god" somebody really got pulverized by Thor (mythology, not comic related). Would be cool to see something like that but I think it would be rated R then. lol

I remember watching an episode of the Fantastic Four cartoon from the 90's and they called Thor "the most powerful being on the planet". :thor:

Yeah that version of Thor was great and I loved his voice, but I still prefer Rick D. Wasserman's version of Thor in Avengers: EMH.

I love how Thor picked up that huge truck and used it to stabilize that tunnel in that episode, I really hope he picks up large vehicles during The Avengers.

Since this is an attack on earth, thor almost HAS to do some crazy amazing stuff. We know that he can do crazy things in the MCU, but since this is a battle for earth, he has to use all of his available abilities.

What does this being "an attack on earth" has to do with Thor using all of his abilities?

I want to see that Thor/Loki Blood Brothers. I can't find the damned thing anywhere
