I don't have any concerns anymore .... the quality of the HD is much better. Having to have originally seen it from that awful cam job didn't give me the full experience and I didn't get to freeze frame it when I saw it in the theater. Thor is going to shine in this!

Could also be the effect of some summoned lightning like in the teaser :awesome:

God I hope we see THOR vs HULK in the movie... and that all those trees being broken is a sign we do get to see it.

I belive it's a given we'll see this battle!

anddddddd I hope we see THOR win. I think thats what SHOULD happen, and I hope it is what DOES happen on screen.

PS ur sig scores of those movies is spot on.

Thanks! I honestly think they'll make every character look good, so maybe we won't have a clear winner.

Probably.

Personally I'd like to see THOR fight everyone, smash Iron Mans armor, dent Capt Americas shield, and beat down the Hulk. Not that this would fit in the movie or should be in the movie, I just want everyone to know whos who and how much more powerful he is than everyone else. I just hope they at least accurately portray power levels in the movie ey.

For me, I would like to see some balance. I don't want Thor to be underpowered by any means, but I also don't want him to be used as a Deus Ex Machina plot device.

Yeah. It will be hard though to balance, in terms of power and contribution, people like THOR/Hulk vs Hawkeye/Black Widow. One is the god of thunder, one is a 125 lb female with kicking skills.

Hopefully they write it well enough it doesnt seem too ridiculous.

This

There's a fine line between "respecting every character" and just being flat out ridiculous. Respecting a character shouldn't mean putting them on the same playing field as someone who is clearly out of their league.

I'd say that the point will be emphasised that no single Avengers character could defeat this enemy alone. They will all go into this individually thinking and boasting that they can and the big realisation is that they'll have to work together to get the job done.

I expect to see Thor making some mightly smackdowns. I'm also sure he'll fall flat on his face a few times too and have his losing moments. Ditto for all the characters and I'm happy with that.

^^^ I think Thor's "falling on your face" moments are going to be more along the lines of screwing up the missions rather than him getting defeated in combat.

Maybe, though I could see him trying to deal with Loki on his own (it's a family matter) and getting his butt kicked. Loki might have the cosmic cube + allies by that time, so it could definitely happen without depowering Thor at all.

I will be happy if the Hulk/Thor fight is a draw the way they have been ubering up Hulk lately. Even though I do think Thor is overall more powerful than the Hulk, they pretty much can fight to a standstill forever IMO.

I think it should be portrayed as an even match. Thats saying something against the Hulk too.

^^Lets hold our horses on the whos stronger Hulk or Thor....I fear a tear in the very fabric of space and time would be the result in that Nerdebate :D

Hulk!

Thor!

Hulk!

Tho.....ohhh myyy godddddddd!...........

oh btw. Thor vs Hulk = Draw :) I would love to see a long fight but I fear it wont be as long as we would hope. Lets keep ALLLLL expectations super low so when we go see it next year...no nerd comes out of the theatre alive....all of our minds....blown...!

I don't even know if I would count that as "losing", that's like saying a guy lost after he was jumped by multiple guys with bats and pipes.

Tell me about it, it's gotten to the point where I'm like "what's the point of having anyone fight the Hulk"?

IMO Thor needs to lose a fight, not messed up or tricked, he needs to flat out lose. I say this because like people said otherwise he will be a deus ex machina and if no one can beat him I can imagine signs of his previous arrogance creeping back.

As for Hulk VS Thor, the hulk fan in me wants to see hulk win but it'll be better if either it's a standstill or the fight gets broken up before a clear winner can be determined.

If anybody's a "deus ex machina" it's the Hulk, a.k.a "Mr. beat up everybody".

To be fair, Hulk has one pretty much every fight they've had in the animated universe.

You should be pretty satisfied, it's only right that Thor starts getting his share of victories.

I agree with all that.

I still don't get the idea of Thor being a "dues ex machina", I have yet to see him portrayed as such in any of his media appearances.
