I never got why people always seem to think Hulk is in his strength range. Hulk doesn't do much that Superman can normally do. Like when the Hulk braced a mountain. Superman, like someone else said, can affect a planets orbit he's that strong.

I really don't see them matching up.

And if Thor used the godblast on Superman, it wouldn't be the same result as Cap. The god blast would KILL Superman. Not just stun or hurt him.

The problem with the godblast is time. Thor would never be able to focus his energy and fire it, given Superman's speed. The only way I see Thor really beating Superman, in fact, is if he's still allowed to use the extreme super-speed we've only seen him use in about 2 or 3 comics from the Silver Age.

Of course, if Thor knew about Supes' weaknesses, he could easily have Mjolnir pump out some red solar energy. But that would break my personal rules of superhero fights, since he'd have to have intimate knowledge of how Superman's powers work beforehand.

If you really want to beat Superman, forget the kryptonite, or even draining his power. Just introduce him to someone who is more sanctimonious than he is. That'll kill him, Kryptonians don't handle shock too well i've heard.
Good luck finding someone that fits the bill though.

superman has
vision abilities
strength
speed
flight
breath
hearing

and to take down the hulk he...out punches him **YAWN**

he could have flown him at super speed faster than hulk can see, created a vortex to suck the breath out of him, hit him a thounsand times in a second to keep him dizzy, then flwon him into space. game over.
I would have accepted that a hell of a lot more easily then him taking the hulk down with pure strength, that's like superman out running the flash to beat him

and then you have superrman v thor
thor's hammer is based on magic one hit from moljner(sp) and it should be game over so superman should have separated the two (thor and his hammer) then taken him down using all the abilities I mentioned.

like I said it's the HOW not the why.

Excellent post. My thoughts exactly. That's the reason I always hated the death of SUperman. Supes wouldn't have been stupid enough to try and out punch a brute. He would've tried to out think him.
