Watching Punk get his ass beat is gonna be hard. He is gonna get embarrassed. This is most definitely not a good thing for him.

Maybe AJ can leave WWE and become a new UFC ring girl.

I never got the vibe watching Punk wrestle that he'd fit into a shoot-fight atmosphere....but we'll see. Could wind up being another Chael for all we know. One thing I do know is the money Lesnar is going to get for staying with WWE is going to be INSANE now.

That CM Punk announcement did make watching my friend and former teammate Abel Trujillo get submitted tonight. That was rough. Dude seriously needs to work on his gas tank, but I love watching him living out his dream.

Punk need to come out to this again if he is gonna be in UFC ,it just fits

It hasn't been announced but people in the know are claiming he's going back. I'd bet money on it.

Punk might've just inadvertently helped out Lesnar tonight on renewing his WWE deal for more money. Bryan's still injured, Del Rio's gone, and it'll be demoralizing if McMahon lets a second WWE main eventer go to the "competition".

Dana is looking to increase PPV buys, and this will do it. Maybe Dana wants to have Punk on commentary after he does a few fights. Maybe he'll get Chael to help train.

I can see Vince actually wanting to do this.

So Punk has been training with Mr. Eve Torres.

And that's going to make WWE better......Wait, no it's not.

That's why Vince needs to retire. It's time to focus more on making new stars instead of blowing millions of dollars. I love Brock , but is he honestly helping WWE that much.

Punk should enroll in Nakamura's School of Strong Style before he steps into that Octagon. :o

Guessing Vince sent out a message to all wwe employee's telling them to not send any messages via social media wishing Punk good luck in his new career , I mean you would think at a few of them would wish him luck in his new career

So what weight class if Punk gonna be in? His frame is way to small for anything above 170. Not that it matters, because he is going to get beat up badly.

they saying most likely welterweight

Punk said either 170 or 185. He is going to do like a test weight cut to really see where he is comfortable. He said definitely no to 205.

So arguably the most loaded division, where they still throw pretty heavy and have some good grapplers. This will not go well.

He looks way to small for 185 imo. That should be a real nonstarter.

So I fall asleep around 12am tonight. But then about an hour ago, I wake up. I had a weird feeling. So, impulsively, I check the internet.

Lo and behold....... Phil Brooks has signed with UFC.

I'm ****ing speechless.

This is the last thing I expect to see tonight. But I'm excited, and curious to see how he does in an unpredictable environment like the octagon. I just hope he isn't a bust, and gets his ass handed to him.

Never thought I would see Punk fight in UFC.2014 has been a crazy year, and 2015 is looking to be crazier.

The guy has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for years now. I don't think he's the type of guy to get into something like this unless he knows he could at least put up a fight. I wouldn't count him out just yet.

That is nice. Plenty of people do that. You think that suddenly makes them capable of MMA? MMA has grown past disciplines. Knowing BJJ doesn't suddenly make you a capable MMA fighter. Brock is a once in a generation athlete, an all time great college wrestler did well. Until he got punched in the face. Punk is no Brock. He is 36 year old guy who has no high level athletic or fight sport background.

Unless they going to feed him actual novices, he is going to get beat up. How could anyone watch the UFC tonight and think CM Punk can do that at any real level. He couldn't last 5 mins with the anyone in the top 10 of the 125 division.
