The biggest lesson that he learned (that I am continuing to educate everyone here on ) is that it isn't about what a woman is on paper, but what she can give you in a relationship. Sure, you should be attracted to her to start, but that isn't enough. It's about how supportive she is, how understanding she is to YOU that makes the biggest difference. It isn't about bagging the hottest or most sought-after girl.

Which is all well and good to read about, but probably more difficult to internalize unless you experience it yourself.

I am super-glad he has finally come around, and that he has found a kind woman to spend time with.

I came home from a 12 shift to read about the crapstorm brewing around Whedon, who is a "transphobe, misogynist, racist, and anti-infertile women." I wrote a post saying that those who wrote that trash about Whedon a) saw a different film than I did b) deserve a backhand for writing nasty posts about the guy.

Only to have a colleague fly off the handle and tell me the film is, "transphobic, misogynistic, racist, and anti-infertile women." Reading this post in disbelief, I came to realize: A) there is not enough bourbon in the world B) ART IS RELATIVE I didn't privilege the comment with a response. I just logged out of FB and shook my head.

Joss Whedon.... the same guy who criticized the Jurassic World trailer for being sexist? That Joss Whedon? I swear to god I hate these pathetic, attention starved social justice warriors more every day. It finally seems like the media is starting to tune them out, instead of playing into their dumb hands every time they feign outrage about something (remember "#cancelcolbert"?). Sorry, but my suggestion would be to get cooler friends. Or if it's just a colleague, tell him to get stuffed.

Actually, I just did. In graduate school, I had to endure this insanity (x10) and bite my tongue, as even voicing one ounce of contrary opinion would have resulted in being burned at the stake. But, I'm out now, and so over this bull****. I've finally started saying what I should have said long ago.

What I do is:

1. I click number of the post on the top right corner of the post of a closed thread. It takes me to the individual post.

2. There's usually bunch of numbers in the link on the URL. Copy the numbers only.

3. Click the quote button The quote link goes like this, except there are no spaces. Post the link number the link to post it.

[ QUOTE = POSTER NAME ; LINK NUMBER ] [ /QUOTE ]

4. Copy the post into the quote, and that's it.
