Wow! The NEW (Hype!) TiVo Can Do So Much! - Part 2

Thats got to be one of the worst attempts at sneaking back in that Ive ever seen on the Hype. Which thread did that happen in?

The funny thing is, he didn't have to sneak in. He wasn't banned. I mean, he's on probation now, because of this whole bit, but his account was perfectly fine when he did all this. He just knew that no one would listen to one more rant of his, if it came from his regular account. All this happened in the lounge a few pages back.

I am pretty new to this internet culture... Really. This is the only place I go to for discussion.

I think that there is a difference with some younger people and others my own age who have grown up with the internet. They are digital citizens and take this stuff seriously, but that's just it... growing up with this world they lack a certain perspective.

I've posted this before but here it goes again... When it comes to trolls that keep coming back, the posters that feel the need to create shadow accounts to back up their opinions, the types that are WAY too into the discussion here... I want you to imagine these people that put the amount of effort that they do in trying to participate in the conversations here, or to troll ect., telling someone over the age of 35 with kids, a job, a mortgage, a marriage, sick parents, whatever, that this is what they do with their time, to the point that they continually make fake accounts or attempt to sneak back in or whatever... Those people over 35 will likely weep for the future and think that something's wrong with that person, if not pity them in their insanity.

The Lounge.

It wasn't even sneaking back, because the guy wasn't banned initially. He's just a weirdo and decided to make another account to smack talk this place, because I guess he didn't have the courage to do so under his real account? Who knows.

Yeah, he decided to "fight da power" through an alternate account. Sure takes balls to stand up to the mods like that. :whatever:

This harryoscop fella....
For me, anything they come up with will be better than TASM2 barfaronie, as long as it's different from that suit, I'll love it.

:hubba :hubba

God I LOVE that suit! It's just perfect for Andrew's physique and body type, it's form-fitting, tight and accents Andrew's body (unlike TASM2 garbage because of the ****** raised webbing pattern) like a Spider-Man suit is suppose to do.

amazing-spider-man-costume-action.jpg

I kid you not, this version of Spider-Man is the only Hot Toys figure I own (They're soooo expensive!) and sometimes I just look at it and admire all the detail and craft that was put into this suit, It's by the best SM suit imo. The only things changes I would make would be giving him a belt, losing the leg strips and making the gloves entirely red. Love that suit.

All the wrinkles in the suit make it look like it was made for a skinny fat dude.

Like TASM2 suit:

:barf:

Yeah, I would probably change them to silver like the first Raimi suit. I love when Spidey's eyes are reflective.

Lol, I have a feeling that all of these mannipers and artists that are drawing the suit with TASM2 eyes are going to be disappointed. :hehe:

I can't help but say that i hope you hate the MCU Spider-Man suit if you love the TASM suit and think TASM 2 is barfaronie. Just saying...

Such a fantastic post over at the WW thread.

Should there be an unattractive Amazon in the film at all or should all of them be attractive universally?

All of the Amazons should be universally attractive.

It should be made clear in the movie that, upon their 18th birthday, all Amazons are required to present themselves at the Beauty Tribunal for inspection to determine whether they're pretty enough to be an Amazon.

The tribunal obviously consists of an interview round, swimsuit round and evening gown round. All interview questions relate to the individual's beauty regime and points are deducted if the responses are comprised of anything other than batting eyelashes, giggling, jiggling, smiles and body language.

Only the prettiest of ladies are permitted to become Amazons, while the others are thrown off a nearby cliff. Of course, even Amazon must submit to an annual attractiveness inspection. It is Diana's failure at an annual inspection which leads to her being exiled from Themyscira.

The course of the movie should follow Diana embracing modern beauty techniques and standards in man's world and would end with Diana triumphantly returning to Themyscira as a world renowned super model AND with an attractive boyfriend!

My Deathmatch opponent dragging Bamfer into an asinine argument last year...
Damn, I don't know if I can compete with someone who campaigns like this.

Unless I decide to start campaigning... :wow:
it has nothing to do with campaigning. Being great is the best way to get my vote.
Well, no one's talking about your vote. :whatever:

The campaigning is evident aside from the massive and obnoxious amount of votes amassed in less than a day; I've received votes from people who typically don't vote at all. Be careful who you beg for votes!
this is exactly the type of post who make people not want to vote for someone.
I'm not going to try and win anyone over. I'm me and I always will be. As you can see, some people think that's enough.
Apart from person with MPD, I guess everyone can claim the same thing.

I don't know if you will win or not. I just hope you won't take it too hard if you lose. It's just a deathmatch you know.
You clearly don't know me that well.
 nor can I say I want to.

That said, I'm basing my assumption on what you wrote.
Hush! You don't have to say a thang, baby. :fhm:
I'm really sorry if I gave you the impression I wanted to be friend with you. :csad: I prefer to be honest with you, I don't want to hurt your feelings, especially considering how hard this deathmatch seems to bother you.
1. I never got that impression.
2. I have no feelings.
3. If I did, you would be incapable of hurting them.
4. Despite your sad and confusing attempts to do whatever it is you're trying to do, I am not at all emotionally impacted by the Deathmatches. I think I've made that clear.
5. We get it, you love AnneFan, but did you know he's a dude? Yep! And all my Hype! brethren were shocked to find that out yesterday.
I think you would't insist that much if you were really not impacted. It's obvious from your last comments you're taking it hard. But I understand why you pretend you're not, and I won't argue about it anymore, because I respect what you're trying to do.

In that regard, I'm glad you think I wouldn't be able to hurt your not existing feelings, because I'm not the kind of person who enjoy hurting others.

What AF being a man has to do with the deathmatch? Are you impliying I voted for him because I thought he was a woman? I don't vote for such trivials reasons.

It is indeed no secret that I appreciate AF greatly. But that's because he's an interesting poster, and I've never seen him not being nice to someone.
Sweet. But I think you're more emotionally invested in this match. Let's get you signed up for next year's matches... I suspect that would be highly entertaining.
I'm definitely emotionally invested. As I appreciate AF greatly, I would be glad to see him win. It's the natural reaction when you appreciate someone.
I think it's natural to be invested when you or a friend of yours is competing in something.

I'm not against the idea of competing next year. I'm all for having fun!

Good times, hopefully Bamfer comes back.

I'll give credit to this: Lex Luthor is sounding like Joss Whedon to me.

God bless you! God bless everyone in your life!

Krypton is continuing his Gary Coleman bit, I see.

God bless you! God bless everyone in your life!

Did I say something bad? I'm very sorry if I did.

God bless you! God bless everyone in your life!

Here's my question... How is any of what we saw in that fake article make Lex at all like Joss Whedon?

It's a misunderstanding then. I'm very sorry. I mistook the link for this that I saw on another site:
http://fortune.com/contentfrom/2015/10/05/lex-luthor-jr/ntv_a/3dsBA58oDAfxgFA

In this he has a Joss Whedon-ish vibe to me. I'm very sorry again for the misunderstanding.

God bless you! God bless everyone in your life!

Super curious to read his response.

The self-effacing thing is what mainly gives me that. Joss gives off a self-effacing attitude, but I've gotten the impression that that's a way to shrug things off in a charming way and get away with something. He does similar things in his writing I'm just now realizing as I'm typing this. He distracts from things using comedy or lampshading, without really accepting the issue. At least that's what I get from him.

God bless you! God bless everyone in your life!

Except... Lex wasn't at all self-effacing in that piece.

There's a reference to it. Like I said though, it's mainly a vibe. I'm very sorry for the misunderstanding again.

God bless you! God bless everyone in your life!

I feel like I'm missing something. Did I do something wrong? I'm very sorry if I did.

God bless you all! God bless everyone in your lives!

J.J. Abrams could end up delivering a phenomenal film, but he really shouldn't have been allowed to dictate the way that the film has been handled from a marketing standpoint, as it could end up backfiring spectacularly and torpedo the film's success.

A small yet incredibly loud minority of people believe that the Prequels 'killed' the franchise, but J.J. Abrams' insistence on secrecy and general viewpoint on what the franchise's ultimate meaning is actually present a far greater threat to the franchise than anything that Lucas did in the Prequels, and are the biggest reasons why my excitement level is nowhere near where it was for the Prequels and nowhere near where I wish it were for a franchise that I continue to love.

Well I was more of a 'Looney Tunes' kind of person in my youth anyway. :o

That awkward moment when someone tries to shade a CBM hero not getting a solo sequel... by propping up another CBM hero who is ALSO not getting a solo sequel.

Ant-man sequel on the horizon, Man of Steel sequel no where to be seen. Still flavor of the week, Snyder?
^Coming out next year, try harder next time.
Solo sequel. One thinks the distinction ought to be childishly obvious.
Yes, just like Ant Man's solo sequel, oh wait. Like I said, try harder next time.

Remember when the Tivo thread had amusing content, instead of four post pissing matches between random internets?

Remember when you weren't the worst?

I'm gonna have to agree with Whiskey on this one. That tivo is pretty lame.

Everything else on this page is great, though.

Ant Man not getting a solo sequel means that Marvel has no faith in the character as a solo property. :o:whatever:
