Wow! The NEW (Hype!) TiVo Can Do So Much! - Part 6

I will never not take the opportunity to remind everyone here that said poster publicly admits to having thrown another child in the way of a school bus to be runned over when they were a kid.

Just what I said scribe. Ole warhorse admitted that here on the Hype. No regrets. Apparently the other kid had it coming because they were being teased.

Again... Not made up. Something they chose to share with us all.

Well gahdamn. I’m speechless.

Could it be possible that someone close to Tsujihara leak the Armie story to Mario in order to spite the trades that are now reporting on his sexual misconduct by making them lose the biggest entertainment story of the year?

I mean, Im just saying because it sounds exactly like the sort of petty immature thing a morally bankrupt CEO that knows he has no way out of a scandal would do to spite his enemies.

Do you really think a petty executive wouldnt give the biggest story of the year to a small guy like Mario in order to make the people that are coming after him look stupid? I mean, for any trade, losing the Batman casting news must sting a little bit.

Meanwhile: *lists 100 people he would want to see play Batman despite not having seen their films*

:lmao:

These last three to four pages.

The one that really got me was that the X-films have better continuity than the Marvel Studio ones.

But they do! Remember in X1 where Mystique laments her time with the X-Men while cosplaying as Wolverine and turned into Jennifer Lawrence.

Remember the Angel from the 80s and the other Angel from the 00s?

So....continuity is all over the place....maybe the film makers should be wearing DEPENDS due to all the incontinence.

Gotta say I am amazed at how small a role Okoye had in this considering the minor controversy over the poster.

She was on the poster to draw in Black panther fans.

Yep, Marvel is really pandering to the social justice crowd, but as long as the movies continue to be excellent I don't care.

I just hope that all-female shot is the most they go in that direction. That was so forced it was horrible.

I suppose Marvel panders to white guys by casting so many damn Chris' in their films :oldrazz::whatever:

It wasn't horrible for me. I loved that shot. It was BadAss. I just wished it had gone on a bit more. Or if we had a shot of some of the female characters awkwardly introducing themselves in the battle (but I guess we got too much of that in Infinity War, so this time it was strictly business).

Pandering? So social Justice crowd is another word for black people? When they put a white actor on the poster to draw in fans from their franchise, which group would you say they are pandering to?

How many times in a super hero film or movie in general is there a group shot of men going into action... Explain the lack of any issues with that.

Also... Explain what the pandering is about? What is the end point exactly and why is it an issue if it's done?

It's pandering when they do it not because it enhances the story or represents the movie accurately, but just to say "Oh look, we represented this group!"

There are no issues with that because that's who was on the team at the time. The women were not the only people on the team at the time. It was out of place and took me out of the movie. The issue with pandering like that is it is political in nature. Am I against more female characters and stories? Of course not - I loved the Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel movies. But that's because they focused on telling a good story first rather than hitting you over the head with a political agenda.

TL;DR - Please separate politics and movies. I may even agree with your politics (I'm certainly not a sexist or racist of any kind, I can give you my voting records and discuss my political history if you want), but fictional movies are supposed to be an escape from real life, not a platform to voice political opinions.

YOU are making it a political agenda by thinking that a group of women is pandering and a group of men is normal. YOU are the one whose thinking its "out of character" because your AGENDA whether subconscious or not is that women are out of place. This is sexism whether you want to label it that yourself or not, whether its malicious in intent or not.

Are you kidding me? No, I said nothing about a group of men. GOTG, Avengers, all these team up movies include both men AND women. This post is frankly insulting to me. You think I'd want a Justice League without Wonder Woman? Or that I didn't find something empty without Wasp being a founding Avenger?

How dare you. HOW DARE YOU.

I actually do agree with a lot of what you say. It didn't kill the movie for me by any stretch, but it just wasn't something I wanted to see. I have nothing against seeing more women in superhero movies. I just want it to feel organic. But oh well, water under the bridge at this point.

I'm sorry if you got offended for someone calling out your sexism. Hopefully you can learn how what you originally said was insulting to women and grow from this situation. Your fake outrage aside I doubt you are actually doing it intentionally, its more of a unconscious bias.

Reported. Keep lying and disparaging me, that's fine. I'll let the mods handle this.

I had three thoughts during that shot.

1. God, they are all so damn pretty.

2. This is obvious pandering, considering how long it even took them to make a female lead movie. They want the credit, as unearned as it is. But this is still pretty cool.

3.
I wish Black Widow, the OG, was there.

A thing cant become normal until it's been done and done repeatedly. Its gotta start at some point. Nothing wrong with a female hero shot.

TV Stars that can bake!

I saw on E News on a Sunday early morning where it runs for an hour. I think Jennifer Love Hewitt was baking brownies for the homeless and other people. Anyways I realized that when Brad Pitt guest stared on Friends his character said two of his greatest enemies that I was I think carbohydrates and Rachel. I love Jennifer Love Hewitt and chocolate brownies and they are both together. I thought chocolate could not look better and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Someone was calling her the new Betty Crocker I think. It is hot seeing an attractive sexy woman baking something sweet and tastes great like brownies. A food I love along with a hot woman together.
