Sequels X-Men 1 Roster (MCU)

you're right now it is me who i am confusion! :funny:

After seeing Endgame, I wonder who will be the X-Men's first six or whoever are in the main X-Men team.

I would die happy if the X-Men can go as big as the Avengers.

Honestly I have no idea. No matter who you have someone will be upset

Shadowcat as the newbie, team is Banshee, Beast, Storm, Wolverine, Cyke, Jean iceman and kill off Banshee,

Sequel: intro colossus night crawler and evil Rogue, Beast joins Avengers

Third installment: gambit, angel emma frost

After what fox did to these guys though, anything marvel does should be nice

I would love to see this line-up:

Cyclops
Marvel Girl
Nightcrawler
Colossus
Storm
Wolverine
Beast

According to you, Cyclops/Jean for MCU or Cyclops/Emma (Jean lost, then ressurected)

I agree, I don’t want just some random new flavour of the month character but it would be nice to see someone we haven’t seen adapted yet
Out of the b-tier essential X-Men members, Polaris (in film) and Forge are the only ones we haven't seen in the big screen. Though Angel, Gambit, Psylocke, Dazzler, Emma, Havok, Banshee and Jubilee haven't joined the X-Men team in any of the films.

I'd like to see Sage as the tech/security member alongside Forge and Cecilia Reyes as the med member of the team alongside Beast. Sage/Cecilia would get smaller roles and they wouldn't be part of the main roster for at least for a couple of films, since I want the MCU to focus on the more essential members.

The villains would compose of more newer faces, I guess. We haven't seen Mr. Sinister, the Nasty Boys, the Marauders, the Acolytes, Bastion, Avalanche, Mojo, Spiral, Sauron, Destiny, Omega Red, Abyss, Ozymandias and eXodus. I wonder if we are going to get a MCU version of Lady Deathstrike, Callisto and Selene. I hope looks wise and costume wise, they would be closer to the comics and that they wouldn't be just henchwomen.

While I think I understand the basic feeling behind this, it might be a better idea to take the approach the Avengers did -- establish the core of base characters first and then build.

Yeah, I reckon a mix is best. So obviously you need Scott, Jean, storm etc. then chuck in sunfire, dust, northstar or whoever and you’ve got it

And Guardians arent the X-Men. The X-Men have key essential members. No need to put characters that aren't part of the team like as if FoX have utilized all those essential X-Men members. Thats like putting Quentin Quire in the Avengers movie as a member.

Who weren’t originally guardians btw ?

The original Guardians were:
Major Vance Astro (later known as Major Victory)
Martinex T'Naga, a crystalline being from Pluto
Captain Charlie-27, a soldier from Jupiter
Yondu Udonta, a blue-skinned "noble savage" from Centauri-IV

So you can see, none of the Guardians from the movie were actually conceptual team members (though Yondu was at least in the film.)

I understand the argument the X-Men are a little more crystalized in people's minds. That said, I do not think the MCU roster would necessarily have to be beholden to those notions in order to be successful. And if Marvel wanted to return the idea of the X-Men back to its metaphoric roots of civil rights, there is probably an argument to be made characters like Scott Summers and Logan should not be included in the roster in today's world.

Since Deadpool is considered MCU now how will that affect Collosus and Negasonic??

Nothing has been confirmed but if there was one character that could safely make that leap it's Deadpool (and Ryan), because of the nature of his character (4th wall breaking) and because his movies have been run-away successes. Unfortunately. I'm not a fan of both the character and the actor.

That's not to say that they won't reboot the character and just keep Reynolds in a new set of movies. That would free up Piotr to be used in the X-men movies like he's meant to be.

Colossus, Negasonic, Cable, Domino, Juggernaut ... will be rebooted in MCU

Deadpool 3 is still unclear (MCU or not)

Again you are comparing gotg and the X-Men. The mcu Gotg was based in a gotg relaunch and Gotg was an obscure team at that time and the original Gotg line up was quite forgotten.

Angel, Psylocke, Emma, Polaris, Bishop, Banshee, Forge, Jubilee, Havok, Rogue, Gambit, Dazzler, Storm... there are a lot more characters that have joined the X-Men that is considered by (comic readers/comics history) essential to the X-Men as a member. Dust is still a student in the comics, haven't joined the team after all these years and have been set aside for years now in the comics for other X-students.

Its not really comparable. Also, the core members of the Avengers in the films (Thor, Capt. America Black Widow, Hulk, Hawkeye, Iron Man) are long time members of the Avengers in the comics. They didn't include someone that wasn't a member in the comics. so I don't see why the X-Men would need to include someone like Dust when they have such a long list of core X-Men members that haven't even been utilized yet that well as a member of the team in the films.

I rather suspect that any Deadpool-related character will probably remain "canon", as long as they are both popular and lack a compelling reason to need to reboot them. So, NTW is probably going to remain the same, in any future Deadpool movie.

Colossus. . . is tricky. Colossus is great in Deadpool, by far the best he's ever been. However, he's also a core, iconic X-Man, who they will probably want in the actual X-Men movies. . . and they might want a flesh and blood actor playing him in non-steel-form, too.
