So far everything I've seen and heard has made me excited for this movie. I think my hype might surprise DOFP considering more of my favourite characters are in this one.

Im the most I've ever been excited for a film

If anything, he hinted at the possibility, but he did not outright say this. Let's not get people disappointed for no reason.

We are getting colors for sure though. Maybe not "comic book costume", but at least colors. Otherwise Singer wouldn't have said this:

Couldn't they have dyed Sophie's hair red or provided her with a wig? Jean' always had dark red hair in the comics (granted some variations of artwork have portrayed her as ginger) and in the films too, Jean has dark red hair. Sophie's got great hair but it doesn't really match Famkes.

I was never a huge fan of Famke's "Jean" wigs after X1. I actually think her hair looked the worst in X3 and DoFP...it was damn near purple. Jean is a "ginger" naturally, so her hair should be closer to what Sophie's is.

But the X1 Halloween wig? Easily the worst.

Since when is storm known for having particularly colorful costumes anyway? Her most famous costumes are definitely black. Pretty sure we've seen her costume for the movie haha

Her costume isn't colorful you know that, you just love making off the wall comments. The costume though I'm loving it a lot it really fits her.

I liked this trailer much better than the first teaser for DoFP, mind you my expectations are also much lower after DoFP. But now that they hopefully finished milking X-nostalgia I look forward to seeing something new, particularly the new younger characters.

I'm glad that this doesn't look like another "Magneto joins X-Men to betray them later" rehash, but I don't know if I buy the idea of Erik wanting to start a new life when absolutely nothing in the previous movies (particularly DoFP) indicated that this is something he would ever go for. I'm not a fan of forced character stuff and major character shifts that just happen in between the movies and you never get to actually see, so hopefully it's actually convincing in the movie.

Also, I think I've lost count of how many relationships this movie is supposed to be exploring.

I think if they don't have enough time to explore where magneto is in his life right now then yeah it could seen as a little forced but it's 10 years after DOFP so a lot can happen in that time

Plus if mutants appear to be accepted then magneto may feel he was wrong all that time, although he probably isn't all that comfortable or even happy with it

One thing for me with DoFP is that I really enjoyed the future relationship with Charles and Erik and how Erik knew that he was one of the reasons that the future he was in existed. I've never felt that Magneto is a villain. Compared to Apocalypse. Even though we are getting Magneto as a horsemen I hope that his motivations aren't just the typical mutant is better. I hope there's more to it and I hope they make him more like the future Erik we saw in DoFP where his goal isn't about mutant supremacy but to save the world. I'm hoping that by the end Charles and Erik are more in sync and that could be such a fantastic dynamic for future movies. Especially between Erik and Charles and running the X-Men.

Also I love, that much like DoFP it seems we are getting a Magneto and Storm combo. I found it interesting how Halle was always in shot with Ian in DoFP and their big action sequence was with each other. I'm looking forward to them hopefully doing that again in Apocalypse with the younger versions.

Eh, I'm not a fan of "we've totally changed character's motivations and life goals... because a lot can happen in 10 years' time guys!" It's a lazy, lazy explanation. To compare, Sarah Connor in T2 is unrecognisable from the way she was in T1, but it feels like a logical progression from where she was left at the end of the previous movie. Charles in DoFP is nothing like his character in FC, but again you can look at everything that happens to him in FC and see how he ends up that way. Plus it's like, FC builds up Magneto to be a mutant leader by the end... only to scrap that in DoFP and once again build him up to be a mutant leader by the end... only to backpedal once again in Apocalypse. I don't know where Magneto is going to end up by the end of Apocalypse, of course, but if it builds him up to be a mutant leader at the end again it's like we've been going in circles with his character for 3 movies. So I hope it's not that.

I also don't buy the idea that, because Mystique unintentionally saved Nixon in DoFP, mutants are now accepted by the general public. It frankly felt stupid in DoFP and even if this movie is otherwise fantastic I just can't swallow this particular bit, sorry writers.

I agree. Also they put the Mystique wig at 17 and then Storm's DOFP wig at 2? I mean... really?
