Wait, time out. It was a Mega Issue that all they wore was black, and now they're not, it's still an issue? Somebody help me out.
If the core X-Men are getting suits with color, why not Mystique and QS?
This sums up the fan community.Wait, time out. It was a Mega Issue that all they wore was black, and now they're not, it's still an issue? Somebody help me out.
Everything to me looks friggin incredible. Holy crap. I love waking up to this in the morning. Just awesomeness. It's funny that they're actually going with that 80s vibe and going all out with looks like people always wanted and now the same people are complaining. I agree with someone who posted earlier that they don't care what they're dressed in but as long as the character is great. Which Singer always nails.
they went from super dark and gritty costuming and visuals last time around (which fit for the story) to a muffinfarmin' cartoon
balance Singer, balance
I love how the outfits are comic accurate but also battle appropriate. They still have that armour, battle look to them. Psylocke is just perfection.
I think they were very conscious of how it would look. Which is why it doesn't actually look like a swimsuit but it looks like battle gear. The boots are high enough and with the gloves to me it looks fantastic. I'm actually glad they went with this look because it fits the time period. I think if she were in the future it wouldn't look right. But she can get away with it.
Definitely but modern times work against the look overall. I would say the future setting would have her in a full outfit. But it works a lot more due to it being the 80s. Just like Emma Frost there was no complaint about her look in the 60s because it really fit with the time and with that spy thriller aspect of the story. But if Emma was walking a around in that outfit in the future it just wouldn't fit.I'm sure it could work in the future, because it doesn't look very 80s at all, but even like it could be something modern or futuristic.
Even with the thigh-high boots, it manages not to look stripperific.
I hope the swimsuit style starts and ends with Psylocke.
