I do have a random question;

Are the leaked pics even allowed to be posted here? I mean I keep on seeing them, but usually leaked pics like that tend to be taken down. Or does Fox not care much at this point about it?

Why take them down though. We're not seeing anything new. "They look EXACTLY the same" LOLOLOLOLOL!

It's the angle... and the lighting. That's it.

If I agree that they didn't change a thing, it doesn't change that the pictures look very different. It doesn't change that a lip line that nobody saw or new what color it was, now is popping out to a much greater degree and we can now see color contrast.

Sithborg didn't know the lips were popping out like that as his quote illustrates "I don't mind the lack of lips".

But for arguments sake, and because I dont care, lets say they didn't change anything. So lets just say the lighting made him look worlds better and revealed subtle nuances that make Apoc look much more like Classic Apoc and a lot less like the Victorian Apoc that Sithborg said he mostly resembled and was happy about.

That middle button at the bottom of post, between the Quote button and the Quick reply button on the right, is the Multi-Quote button. You just read through and click it on posts you'd like to reply to, and you'll be able to respond to all those posters in one post.


And I only asked of the leaked photos because sometimes they are ban-worthy to post them due to copyright issues. Was actually looking out for other posters posting them, not to tell on everyone here to Fox Studios.
I got my way from the first pictures in EW and I'm continuing to get my way with the leaked pics.

Well I guess we are all getting our way then and everyone can be happy.

I am hoping that Singer will incorporate at least some of the feedback from the early images of Apocalypse and do something like this, where he darkens the lip lines, so as to highlight and contrast them better. It would not take a lot of effort, but would go a long way to improving the look.

Can anyone make senator palpatines face blue and put it in the Apocalypse helmet? Anyone with those skills? I'd like to see how close or not so close it is with the current Apoc above.

These manips illustrate the same subtle differences that we see from "ooze photo" to "new leaked photo". Fans have been saying that this type of change would be enough. Now Im not arguing if the lighting changed or if there was an actual CGI enhancement, but what is clear is that the "ooze photo" doesn't have the pronounced lips, and the "leak photo does" just like most disappointed fans were asking and in the exact same way.

I will say this, after looking at the manips they too look "exactly" the same as the unmunips. There is a good chance that Singer did listen to the fans and accent some areas. The blue face on the magazine was all blue. Now its a lighter face with dark blue lips. If I compare that blue face to some manips, the lip line may be the same size, but the manips are accented more.

No one can say for sure that Singer didn't accent the lips because nobody knows what color his skin and lips were. If we go by the Entertainment magazine, then there has definitely been an enhancement to the lips and a lightening of the face from dark blue to grey. I'm leaning towards Singer listening to the bellows of disgruntled fans, because now Apoc looks just like the manips. Yay!

Thing is too many people judge everything by the last thing they see so what if this picture looks cool because he is clearly having an almighty moment and looks like he may be doing something with his powers But when we get actually more official images apocalypse looks more like the EW cover again

We don't know whether the white eyes thing will be what he always has or whether it's him using his powers

yeah i don't think anyone should "die" in this film... I don't think you need to kill anyone to make things a threat or to add seriousness to a film..

and i don't see jubilee being an equal team member... even in the books up until recently.. has she even seemed like a full fledged team member.. just the youngster tag-along..

Sure, Jubilee was the youngster in the 90s... Because she was the ONLY young character really. When she first met the team after her adventures with Wolverine and Psylocke... The two of them, especially Psylocke, vouched for Jubilee to be a part of the team due to how well she handled herself with them against the Hand (a guild of ninja assassins that the Mandarin directed.)
She officially became part of the Blue X-Men team for quite some time (just directly after Gambit officially did as well.) She was also one of four surviving mutants to help save the team during the Phalanx Covenant, which is legit considered an actual part-time team of the X-Men. She fought the Shi'Ar, the Brotherhood, Deathstrike and the Reavers, Sentinels, and Sabertooth up until that point as well... Before finally joining Generation X, not as a demotion, but voluntarily to be around mutants her own age. After years in Generation X (of which she also helped the XMen as a guest hero many times,) she again officially joined the X-Men, before a voluntary departure to live with her aunt. She lost her powers, was field leader of New Warriors, and then officially joined the X-Men lineup twice more as a vampire.

I think there are alot of people who would like to believe the moment fans started complaining about apocalypse look that they added CGI to make him look more like the comic version but i don't think thats the case

Once we get more full apocalypse images we may get more complaining again

I think it's too soon to say what all has for sure (like color)... but we do know for a fact his eyes were obviously... and until I see an on set photo that proves me wrong (the purple photo doesn't) it appears the "cheek lines" are far more pronounced and 3 dimensional to cast such a shadow then what appears in the "purple" photo.. so to me that looks like it's been certainly enhanced.

The color.. is debatable. But in my personal experience when dealing with lighting bouncing off different colored surfaces .. ive never seen a shad of blue that (even with different colored lighting) can give us the variety of colors we've seen apocalypse appear... (Dark Blue - EW cover, Purple - red lighting from set photo, and Teal (editing computer image) ) Everything on film is color corrected... it just depends on "how much" and if they tweaked the shade at all... so yeah, the color is still debatable...

the EW cover uses a high contrast.. which makes color typically darker... and there are shades of blue that when cast with a red light reflects purple. and there's shades of blue that can reflect teal. I just haven't seen a shade of blue that can do both personally. And that's coming from my current job working for an event company. (I'm a graphic designer, but i often work with incandescent cans and LED lighting on sets too)

I can only speak for myself, and my experience though..

the funny thing is.. ive not really seen a poster say that.. now I can't speak about En Neb Sur... because i tend to just gloss over his posts.. but I don't think the design from what they originally intended has changed... just what we have seen thus far was never the finished look

Agreed. If they must go the "team uniform" route, then why don't add some color? That Negasonic Warhead chick gets some color but the freaking X-Men are still wearing black.
