Can you give me another option then the current one? Is it that you don't want this trilogy to remain consistent in jumping a decade with each film? Or do you not want the characters that we've been all clamoring for to finally appear? Or is it that you don't think characters like Scott, Jean, Storm, and Nightcrawler deserve proper origins like Xavier, Mystique, Beast and Magneto have received?
I have no need to google anything...this movie will feature Jean and Scott joining the X-Men...at what age did they join in the comics?
There's your answer
I can't wait to see Scott, Jean, Storm and Kurt, among a lot others. And yes, they surely deserve their origin, but that's different from seeing a series of movie with them portrayed by teenagers. I would rather see them as adults and properly done (not like OT).
You "fixed" my post saying I picture the X-Men as adults, not people in general. I told you to google to make sure I'm not the only one.
X-Men: First class takes the original five and expands upon their adventures during their teens
so you think that Scott and Jean should join the X-Men as adults?
No. I think we've seen Eric's origin twice, in X1 and FC. We didn't have to see him as a teenager an entire movie. X-Men: Magneto Testament is a fantastic story and would've made a great TV movie, but we didn't need to see that in the movies. Scott and Jean don't have a rich origin story like Eric or Ororo. So in her case, I could see flashbacks like Eric's. It was enough for Magneto in both trilogies, it would be enough for her too.
As I previous posted, seeing the X-Men as adults is my expectations. If I had to choose I'd rather see them as adults, not like teenagers. But I'm aware of the way the timeline of the movie works, although a mess.
But again, I would rather see them as adults and I'm not talking about how they joined the team. I'm talking about how I rather see them in a film series.

We've seen Mystique, Beast, Havok, Banshee, and Quicksilver as teens in the last two films. Hardly disastrous.
Flashbacks are seen as lazy writing.
You realize that in the next film, they'll be older, right? As Duran Man said, that's kinda what human beings do..Ok, if you guys prefer to see them portrayed as and by teenagers, that's nothing wrong with that. That's how they joined the team in the comics, that's how they are joining the team in the movies.
I still rather see them like this. A series of movies like that.

I wonder if this means 2 cerebro helmets in film.
It looks like Xavier has some facial hair.
