Dark Phoenix X-Men: Dark Phoenix News and Speculation Thread - - - Part 12

This is merely conjecture on my part, but I got the impression the studio is not entirely pleased with Kinberg, as he did not plan ahead enough during the actual shoot for this eventuality, so it was incumbent upon the digital effects department to “re-build” entire sets that had already been scrapped. Not good!

If this is true, considering Kinberg’s blunders over the years like multiple iterations of the same character and being unable to maintain a sense of continuity within the franchise he is supposed to be overseeing, it sure took them long to be displeased with him. :loco:

I will always be fond of the main films but regardless of the good will they earned back from me with DOFP, they ruined it with Apocalypse and by leaving Kinberg to his own devices. I will still watch the movie and even sing praises for it if is deserved, but now I’m just so ready for another’s perspective on the X-Men.

wow, who could have possibly thought that simon kinberg, who has hung around like a leech since the beginning for whatever reason, has finally been given the keys to the car and screwed it up.

Just completely unforeseen, I tell you.

I don't know if Bret Andrew is a credible source, but he posted some Dark Phoenix info supposedly provided by FOX production execs. I originally saw this at Bleeding Cool:

X-Men: Dark Phoenix will be the last proper Fox Marvel movie, presumably also the last in that continuity. The crew behind the camera has been thanked for their work but their services will not be needed any longer, as everything is moving to Disney. Apparently, the X-Men being integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a done deal, and merely awaiting the approval of the merger. Kevin Feige is “hoovering up” all of the Fox-Marvel characters, and is already planning for them all to go into Phase 4. This includes the X-Men, Deadpool, and Fantastic Four. In what capacity and with what actors was not discussed.

This next part is unverified, but it seems Dark Phoenix is indeed undergoing reshoots, with entire sets needing to be reconstructed that were already taken down. This is merely conjecture on my part, but I got the impression the studio is not entirely pleased with Kinberg, as he did not plan ahead enough during the actual shoot for this eventuality, so it was incumbent upon the digital effects department to “re-build” entire sets that had already been scrapped. Isn't this normal for reshoots though? sometimes you do need to go back and recreate sets? if they were completely scrapped with no way to rebuild then thats kinda weird.

Even for DOFP they had to recreate sets long after they wrapped.

My god, that article is so horribly written and "Jim Cameron"? Who calls James Cameron "Jim"?

Yeah, calling ******** on that entire article and sounds like someone who just wants to get hits on their site. Plus, it against ANY company policy to talk about this stuff publicly. People can/will get fired.

another funny thing
and that he says he talked to high-level fox members to get this information, and elsewhere he says it's not verified.
a little confused, since he says that he spoke with important members

Think this is fake!

Who is Brent Andrew?
I'm searching the internet and I do not think anything about him, I can not find his social network or other news that turns him into a source with the minimum credible
apparently he created this site in January 2018, and has just over 10 posts. I start thinking that it is someone just wanting access to your site.

Why would it necessarily be fake news? It looks like a Word Press blog. He uses a self-hosted wordpress.org platform and has archives and tags exactly like a blog. If he's only been going since January 2018, maybe that's when he started it. There have only been just over 10 weeks since the beginning of the year, which would fit with having only just over 10 posts if he only posts once a week.

Being a blog, wouldn't it be simply his opinion or speculation on things, or his musings? Why would it make it fake news? It's not a news reporting site.

Well, it's at least strange to believe in a site from a seemingly unknown person, it may be true, but it has everything to be fake
I'm following a line of reasoning that I learned here
if well-known journalists, when posting something, are always seen with suspicion that it is a lie, or something paid to be said, why would believe in an unknown blog? probably if it was good news, some people would be saying the same thing I'm saying,so I prefer to remain "suspicious" about everything, until I see a trailer or something official, everything can be true or false.

if it was good news
would be false news for some as well, or potentially a liar,or simon's friend ,or maybe a simon blog with fake name to compliment the own work

But I'm questioning whether it's even news, regardless of whether it is true or fake.

If it is simply a blog, then it is the equivalent of someone posting their thoughts on something in a forum like this. Do each person's posts here constitute fake news? Do they even constitute news?

People are free to write whatever they want on their blog. The fact that people have picked up on it or linked to it here is beside the point. If someone linked to a post in one of these threads, that doesn't suddenly make it news either. And if you don't agree with what is posted in a thread, that doesn't make it fake or true either way. It's simply opinion or speculation.

:funny: :funny: :funny:

having Magneto and Mystique is already bad news. Or do you really expect Storm, Beast and Nightcrawler to get better roles than those two?

then add the lack of Shiar Empire and Hellfire, and the only thing similar to Phoenix saga from the comics is Jean becoming Phoenix. Talk about a great adaptation. :whatever:

but this is Kinberg and Fox, what were we expecting?

See, the guy is obviously ********ting but he's also ********ting with obvious stuff, so, it's kind of a thing where he's not going to be wrong but isn't right.

The Disney fan club is now a journalism newspaper.

Every time i come here i found out new things.

But I'm not saying that and fake news why he gave a personal opinion on the rumor
I just think it just put as exclusive something that everyone already knows.
what he said by sources of "important members of fox" other blogs, websites and people have already spoken, facing the fact of not knowing who he is, and having nothing of him on the internet, nothing prevents that he simply made a heap of what already exists rumors, invented some things and posted, so I think it's a fake news, or we can call it news made up not to seem rude.

And I'm saying it's not even news in the first place.

If I took all of your posts on this forum, copied them and posted them on a blog I created, that would not be news. It would simply be sharing whatever is on my mind or what I have learnt from others. Everyone's posts here, or on blogs are simply taking the sum of what they've learnt on their own or from others and sharing it.

It's not a news reporting site. It's just someone's blog.

for me, from the moment I have a blog, and I say that I have an exclusive novelty about something that matters, I know that other people and sites will get it and publish in their channels by divulging the link of my blog.is something already thought to have this result, even if it's nothing new it ends up being a news, I bet with you that if tomorrow you create a blog and create a rumor "exclusive" about something of interest or just put together everything you have and for a few words new, this will be reported by several sites, and this my point of view, but I understand what you mean.
