So hang on a minute... everyone has been wanting Cyc and Jean to get their fair share of time for development and now that they are it’s a bummer that Storm (fair enough she needs her due), Psylocke (Later down I could see deserving some development) and Jubilee aren’t.... I Cannot with this two of the biggest X-Men Characters are about to have the biggest story told for one of them in particular and we’re already on to Jubilees development not being paramount... Wow

I stopped watching Comicbookcast a long time ago. he is pretty much like anyone else when it comes to speculation based on what he has heard and even when he said he heard from claimed sources they have been wrong 95% of the time if not everytime.

Why do you feel the constant need to bring this up? Two other seasoned and well respected actresses made that movie too. No idea why you use her defense for the movie as a way to attack her promoting this. You’ve don’t it countless times and it’s rather repugnant.

Why do I feel the need to bring this up? Easy. Either one of two: (1) Chastain shouldn’t be believed when she PROMOTES a script/movie is great; (2) she’s not a very good judge of a movie’s quality. Or both.

Within those spoilers it was said Xavier, Cyclops and Beast probably had the biggest roles in the film.

Whether they are true or not i feel like no one should create any expectation based on the comics or being too protective over how they think a character should or would act.

Some time ago in an interview Simon kinberg did say he wanted to bring some Civil War style conflict to DP and the film has been described by Mcavoy as a family breaking up so I kinda do expect some drama and conflict going on.

The Civil War conflict almost certainly refers to the Earth being infiltrated by aliens in Dark Phoenix, in much the same way as HYDRA infiltrated SHIELD in CA:CW.

I can imagine Kinberg and the Fox suits using that film as a reference point in meetings.

The Civil War reference would be the United Nations stuff, and possibly Jean causing calamity like Wanda did.

She has Winters Tale as her one major career dud whereas everything else she’s done has been received well or she’s received praise. Don’t think one bad movie should automatically mean she’s a bad judge of character. Your negativity towards her for her promotion of this is unjustified just because of your feelings towards Kinberg. Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz and Lupita Nyongo are working with him too now are they in your bad books?

Man reading the comments on Comicbookcasts video about the plot leaks is depressing.

As someone pointed out in one comment i see. Avengers: Infinity War apparently has some details leaked and people apparently freaked out about that too.

Really i don't see any situation where a description of a movie would ever get a positive reaction unless its a description of a visual battle sequence where the characters are doing cool stuff and look good.

For example you reveal how Juggernault was taken out in Deadpool 2 and alot of people didn't like it. but you reveal Colossus has a fight with him and people get excited.

The X-Men is a team. The X-Men movies should be ensemble movies, should balance the roles and screentime of the characters they have.

We've all been waiting Jean and Scott to get their spotlight, but we don't want to see many other characters being sacrificed for that, the same way Scott was to give Logan his spotlight in the first trilogy.

My negativity towards her is her saying a bad script is good. I couldn’t care less how many Oscar noms she’s gotten.

I have no opinion of that spy movie yet. Let’s wait til Cotillard, Cruz and Nyongo (poor unmentioned Fan BingBing) start praising Kinberg as a good writer. Besides Kinberg didn’t write that script, so I have no idea why you brought that spy movie up.

Im not too upset at most of the major plot points leaked. Its just the smaller stuff like the clothing, the treatment of some characters and the apparent retreading of old events.
