yes, lol. And even if you are a shapeshifter, you still transform into Jennifer Lawerence "just because". Who is that blonde woman she keeps transforming into? who the hell knows, but she's hot, so lets keep using that form, for whatever reason. Mutant and proud.

So realistic, I love it :funny:

Also how Beast learns to embrace his true form in First Class. Only to go back to mostly hiding it in DOFP and Apocalypse. Very realistic. Just like real life he goes back on his actions.

Its probably TOO realistic tbh

Hank in FC was self-conscious about his mutation and tried to cure himself but ended up making it 100% times worse. so it makes sense that he would go out his way to find a fix that at all costs.

Now some have described X-Men as a metaphor for homosexuality and in hanks case he really isn't able to accept who he is which is not fully out of bound for that particular metaphor

And from what i hear sometimes no one ever fully embraces who they are in way. and not just with homosexuality but many other things people either use to hide something for the rest of their lives or take something thats not good for them to help them just deal with life

Yes its not exciting for a comicbook super hero, but its certainly not out of the realm of realism

And we really need to see something to get our faith back to this...

They need that!!

When the trailer comes out maybe.

Thing is when everyone is already going nuts over something they haven't seen one bit of footage of yet you know the expectation is way to high.

Whenever someone posts some praise to the franchise
appear the same desperate people to lower their thinking or post a little sarcasm

Fox characters are very realistic. You only see them from the outside and rarely get to know about them. Just like real life.

On the contrary, instead you know much more about their inside.

I often see that people confuse to know something about a characters (like his back story) with give him characterization. In MCU Feige&Co continuously TELL with words something about characters but they give no thinking level.
In Fox (a part from Origins, X3 and Deadpool that are very mcu-like) there is always a deeper level thanks to the IMAGES (i don't saying we are at Dreyer-level, of course).

In few words, for me, in fox i've always the feeling that we have a person behind the mask, that is the MARVEL point.
In the MCU we have only the mask.

One scene in the original X-Men that will always stick out at me is Cyclops in the bus station, when the little kid sees him and thinks he's cool, Scott smiles back because he knows he's a superhero. The kids mom sees he's a mutant and shoos him away and you can see Scott being dejected. It is a powerful scene and even if Cyclops had ten minutes of screentime in the movie, Singer perfectly characterized Slim for me in that movie. He's serious, but he doesn't want to be, he's a superhero.

Cyclops scene with unconscious Charles in that movie was great too. Tom Rothman and his 1h.30 min runtime mandates :cmad:

Well said!:yay:

That scene doesn't stick out as well, but they really should've released an extended version. According to Feige, one exists and I'm sure there's more of Marsden's Cyclops in it.

I love that scene, where the storm gets upset that they're treating mutants as sick and proposing a cure
for me, more realistic than that does not exist, is still something that happens with LGBT, I think that's why this franchise and so famous among the gay public, is a franchise that despite its mistakes, managed to deal with real problems. :ilv:

I hope DP has good dialogues.
it was one of the things I missed in apocalypse, I thought they would talk a lot about religious extremism indirectly, but I think the fox was afraid of suffering a boycott.

There's an X-men 1.5 DVD in case you didn't know.

The universoxmen here in Brazil
posted a video with new information about the film (according to their source)
I'll translate for you

according to the source of the @universoxmen

the UN scene has many police officers, swat, and Protestants against and in favor of the mutants in the Un, this scene involves the presence of the President of the United States, and in place are Prof X, Magneto, Jean, and Cyclop.
according to their source, jean is wearing a "custome" but did not make it clear what it would be.
then an alien attack happens in the UN, with ships dropping lasers reaching the population, buildings, cars and etc.
according to the source, the assistant director quotes several times in the recordings that were the skrulls.
according to the source, in this scene the motion-capture clothing is gray, so probably the member of reddit who leaked the script, must have seen some unfinished version
the ships shoot and destroy many things around, and then 4 aliens descend from the ship, and the prof x, upon seeing this, freezes all the people who are in place to avoid panic, so the teacher controls some policemen and they make them shoot the aliens, including grenades, and these aliens can counter these shots
Cyclop throws a blast, but hits the UN building, causing pieces of land to begin to fall on people, and a voice speaks "your world will fall apart and collapse," the alien who says this is not seen in this scene.

and according to them, now and wait to see if the source is speaking the truth.

According to my google translator its "wreckage" falling on the crowd and not "Land".

Funny how these things translate words differently.

I think that this scene from the UN, is at the beginning of the movie

I've read of a substantial amount of deleted scenes for X1, beyond those on the DVD. I've never seen a list of what was cut though.

I remember that apparently Toad taunted people with "you know what happens to a toad when..." a couple of times and that's why Storm says it later.

That certainly sounds more visceral than other alien invasion scenes (Man of Steel, Avengers) but who knows if it'll actually play out that way.

I didn't hear about that last one but it certainly wasn't the X-men 1.5 everyone was envisioning pre release, especially since re-inserting the scenes in the movie proper left a lot to be desired. Still I appreciated the effort as Fox at the time always seemed to be behind on the Home Video release trends and the "1.5" moniker seemed like they were starting to put a little bit more faith on Bryan and the X-men as an up and coming franchise.

Of the many rumoured scenes I would've wanted actual footage of Rogue rescuing Logan on SOL (instead of the other way around) though I doubt that actually made it past the script.

The 'world will fall apart' stuff sounds dangerously close to Apocalypse and his grandiose speeches.

I thought Kinberg was moving away from global destruction stuff.

X:A and Independence Day 2 both underperformed...

The scene does sound okay but also a bit trite, and it remains to be seen if it's widely appealing.

I think the Reddit user was speaking the truth but probably hadn't seen the test screening themselves, hence being unable to explain everything people were asking. That Reddit person was just repeating things they'd heard from someone else.
