I'm also going to confidently predict that he's going to get a directing gig within the next two years, unless he finally gets in legal trouble.

Whelp, this might be the end of the road after all. If Dark Phoenix actually does suck though, the fight is going to go out of me anyway (at least for the mainline series)... but it appears that Comcast now has a decent shot at buying Fox.

While who knows if this is better or worse for the studio's employees--I think better, but I can't be certain--it also would make it highly unlikely the X-Men or Fantastic Four would go back to Marvel. Interesting.

Yes but Singer probably would have been fine after that first one if it wasn't for the second accusation a year later.

the reshoots begin at the end of July and will last 4 weeks
members of the film's production team, todd hallowell (one of the producers of the film) is already in the canada organizing and preparing things.

Although in all fairness he wasn't kicked off Bo-Rap because of the accusations so how much that really plays in his career who knows.

I think him being fired off the film in general may be a bigger turn off for his career.

Emma Dumont has been supporting Bryan.His career is destroyed without a sentence.

Kinberg is very happy because he has taken away his job.But Singer is a good director.Simon is not a very good writer.

It's a trailer. You want to count how many bad movies had good trailers? How many good movies had bad trailers?

You can also tell how many good movies had good trailers
the trailer being good, does not guarantee anything, but already a positive marketing it's a good start for the film, people doing negative marketing already has in great quantity.

In other words, the reviewer, incognizant of the fact that Dark Phoenix and New Mutants are two separate films, was expecting to see more of the latter (i.e., something with a darker, horror-based theme); and was thus relieved to see what he perceives as a significant improvement.

That said, while nothing to get excited about, it's still positive news. I'll take it for the time being.
