are u guys going to move the mcu x-men thread here?

Funny that Kinberg quote of him wanting to never leave Xmen is followed by the news of Comcast departing from the deal for Disney to get the Xmen title.

Why would he want to leave? He is in such a position of power at Fox and the X-Men franchise. None in his place would want to leave.

Lets just wait and see what Feige does with him. Hopefully he sends him to the Star Wars movies or something and he wont touch the X-Men ever again. At least not the team movies

Only a matter of time.
Cant wait for the day some users wont be able to control any mcu talk and we all can talk openly with freedom for once and for all

So why exactly does Fox/deadpool have a prime hall H Saturday spot?? PH trailer?? Or Xforce announcement?? Just seems odd to me just to push a home release, and their screening it much later in the night.....

Anyone going SCC???

That day wont be for another 4 years atleast.

Well, he day the sale is done officially, Xmen will be a Disney property, so we can start talking about it on the XMen board. Finally.
Not in 4 years lol

And the sale won’t likely be signed off until well after the release of Dark Phoenix:cwink:

BUT, looks like it’s the end of the journey for this incarnation of the Xmen, hopefully it can go out on a high note, egar to see the first footage from it.

Actually, it'll be signed off before the end of this year. It has already been approved by the DPJ

the 2019 timeframe was a "at the very late" quote, not that it will be done in 2019. It can easily be approved and closed this year. All signs point to a faster process.

Are we expecting any Dark Phoenix promotion at SDCC? I imagine if so or even in the near future people are going to view it in a different light given the Fox/Disney news.

This news was already circulating since Monday, had already read on some website that comcast had given up the purchase.
but now the question is, probably the deal should be closed this year still, at most until December, how does darkphoenix stay in this situation?
will it be released or not? I hope so, but I think the fox could be clearer about that, because logically they know the whole process is what's going to happen, so they out of respect for the xmen fans should say something, if with the confirmation of the sale in a few months this movie will still exist or not.

I think it would make a good incentive for whatever streaming platform Disney are cooking up if it went there. Not sure how likely that is, but given the unique situation, who can say?

that would be horrible
a movie of the xmen being released on a streaming platform.
if the idea of them is this, I enter the team that prefers then to be archived and pretend that it never existed.

new mutants would make total sense, because then they could make it an "original production" of the platform and create sequels.

An X-Men film being directed by Simon Kinberg was a terrible idea to begin with.

Personally I can't see that point of view. If it were the choice between those two then I would choose a streaming service. At least that way you would have closure on the Foxverse X-men.
