Then it’s settled...they’re reshooting the film with the original cast.

I wouldn't call it delirium, its just that some users like SumT post like they need to justify why they think this movie'll suck beyond just typing Kinberg like I do. As for Manabyte's sources, that guy gets his facts right, sure, but they don't seem to be the most subjective.

I didn't say it was the best conclusion...not sure why you think I did.

Because you said this:

Obvious isn't always best, and I can't see an argument that having a character following the thematic arc she's been on since X-MEN is bad storytelling being valid.

So her taking the cure was a valid part of her thematic arc? I don't get that at all. What about her coming to terms with her abilities and maybe not seeing them as a curse and seeing the good she can do with them? What about accepting her role as a superhero and becoming a true member of the X-Men and saving her friends? Why is that worse than what they went with in the actual film?

Jeremy Conrad blocked me so I can’t see his tweets and pathetic insane behavior!

He's a fake newser. Everything he says or claims is a lie. Don't give attention to bad behavior. Why do you even give Chris M and Jeremy Conrad attention? They’re trash, we all know it

Based on?

With Fox being owned by Disney....this final Foxverse film doesn't need a 3month reshoot. But its just hilarious that this movie keeps getting negative buzz. I mean, there's really nothing positive that came out other than people claiming these bad claims aren't happening.

Is it a three month reshoot or a three month reshoot schedule? Especially when certain actors won't be available until two months later? :thf: As for buzz, I think people are actively looking for negative buzz, likely due to the merger frenzy. Avengers 4 has around a two month reshoot schedule. Should we then question whether significant chunks of the movie are being reworked as a result? Or is that mostly about scheduling?

Earlier in the year he was tweeting multiple times to other tweets that he heard good things about the movie. Nothing changed between that period and the present in regard to filming since they are only now doing the reshoots. He goes back and forth, I suppose.

I mean we do know for a fact a lot of stuff was cut out from Infinity War like Thanos' backstory.

You know What? I would love if they basically reshot the entire movie with the original cast. It would be a much better farewell to the franchise to have the cast that started it all end the series. Bring back Stewart, McKellen, Marsden, Famke, Berry, Ashmore, Page, Paquin etc for one final film that is the Dark Phoenix we should have gotten 12 years ago. Heck, bring back Singer for one last time and end this franchise the RIGHT way. With the cast many of us grew up with

I don't know, I can see them thinking that popular actors who helped start the comic book movie boom like Hugh Jackman could make a smash hit in a crossover of sorts. It would make the crowds go nuts and it would also be a way to honor an original X-Man or two. Who wouldn't pay to watch Hugh Jackman duke it out with Robert Downey Jr?

I'm definitely in between on this issue though; i see the benefits Marvel could reap in either case.

Jackman is not reprising his role again

Singer taking on directing duties on the X-Men again in the #Me Too era would be a PR nightmare.

In a decent world it would be but there he is, director credit on Bohemian Rhapsody and apparently it means nothing at all to a lot of people

So I've been reading around the internet and twitter and it seems as if people really haven't put two and two together as to what I see plain as day. The movie isn't in jeopardy or anything disastrous in nature as to film reshoots for the entirety of 3 months, but simply has it ever occurred to anyone that the reshoots will be for two and a half weeks total over the span of 3 months?

Turner and Sheridan are now free as Sophie's final season of GOT has finished filming all together, at long last, but McAvoy and Chastain are deep into filming on It Chapter 2. From what we know so far, Dark Phoenix effects involve Sophie, in her words from the EW interview, "wearing a bald cap, floating around", so it makes sense to film all the new action sequences and her character in both Jean and Phoenix mode first as those are effects heavy. As McAvoy and Chastain become available later, film their scenes with a gap in between the two, or more, sets of filmings. Hence, 2 and a half weeks of filming over the span of 3 months.

Also someone mentioned why Infinity War or A4 hasn't had scheduling issues like this and the answer is simple as well. Is anyone from the cast outside for about 3 of them actively working on anything else? No. Marvel made sure to not just get the actor but also to get their time that suits any potential needs of their own. What else has RDJ or the like been in that has a production and release timeframe thats even in a nearby ballpark of anything Marvel.

Now, I've never been involved in making a film, and yes, I'm well aware that reshoots are common, but...THREE GODDAMN MONTHS?!?! HOLY ****!!!! Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's longer than alot of PRIMARY shoots correct?! That makes it seem like they're basically reshooting THE ENTIRE FILM!!! I wasn't expecting much with Kinsberg being given total control, but now this smells like a dumpster fire. Am I mistaken here?!

Well it’s already been proven as inaccurate information. Surely you had to have seen the page of other posts talking about that very thing while working down the page to the reply box?

You overestimate the popularity of the OG cast. Only Jackman McKellen and Stewart are iconic. The rest were disposable. The crossover would Cnfuse the hell out pf audiences and would transfer baggage that Feige wouldnt want. Its not worth it.

Famke and Marsden aren't iconic. Only for people to cheer for their Dofp cameo. Yeah right. I wish Shipp is as well known as Berry's Storm... Kelsey is more fitting as Beast. As for the MCU cross over it obviously won't happen even if Hugh is still playing the role.

Sadly, Kinberg or whoever is deciding these films want the X-Men stuck in the past. Also Logan the film killed the present-day X-Men off screen. How lovely. :o

It sounds really bad. Another bad word of mouth for this film.

Y’all do know it’s possible to be “on the fence,” right? You don’t have to be a mile away on either side. It’s insane how polarizing this film is and we haven’t even seen a trailer yet!
