I agree that fox missed opportunities with the xmen franchise, but people always forget to look at the reality of society 15 years ago ... did not have all this support for diversity..the xmen franchise start in a totally different era and society.
after the success of BP and WW opened a way to explore more and more black characters and women as protagonist.
formerly what were the main examples? blade, shaft, catwoman and elektra, none of the 4 had big box office ..
Also add The Wolverine which was the first to do an ethnic group dominant movie before black panther.
Waitwell those movies are better than Apocalypse.

March 26, 2019 – Kansas City, MO – Boulevard Brewing Company today announced a partnership with 20th Century Fox and its highly anticipated film Dark Phoenix, marking the studio’s first collaboration with a craft brewer. Boulevard’s latest year-round beer, Space Camper Cosmic IPA, will get a new X-Men inspired look and blockbuster perks to celebrate the new release in theaters June 7.

In addition to the original six-packs of 12oz cans, Space Camper will be available in single-serve 16oz cans, primarily for venues and events.
Soon fans will also be able to watch the action on the big screen with a Space Camper in hand – a can’t miss X-perience. Starting on May 29, Boulevard’s Space Camper will be the first beer ever to star as an AMC Movie Feature Drink at more than 300 AMC Theatres’ MacGuffins adult beverage concepts. Fandango codes for $3 off Dark Phoenix movie tickets will also be available on Space Camper six-packs nationwide.
2005 f4.Wait
I agree about DP2
But which F4?
Not the Kinberg/Trank atrocity...
Then yes2005 f4.
How nice
Marketing is happening.
I don't know if it's a big deal, but in the UK I'm getting the "international" trailer as adds before YouTube videos.
I presume it's not random, and they have to pay for it.

A fan on Tumblr made this comparison
I think Sophie it's opportunisticSophie Turner did an interview with Rolling Stone primarily for Game of Thrones. However, she did briefly discuss Dark Phoenix.
Sophie Turner Calls New X-Men Movie "'Dark Phoenix' Done Right"
In The Rolling Stones interview she also said her time with Bryan Singer was "unpleasant".
Meanwhile, in Dark Phoenix, we have two female leads - though both are white.
One (Chastain) is manipulative and evil; the other (Turner) is dangerous and mentally unstable. Go, girl power!
Xavier is proved to be (once again) a lying, controlling, deceitful fool, Magneto obviously always has his own agenda and can never really be trusted, so where is the moral compass, the shining light, in this story?
Is it Mystique, who looks to meet a terrible fate? It could be Storm if she has more to say and do than that one line in the trailer about not knowing who people are until it's too late, but that seems doubtful. So are we looking at Cyclops and Beast, both played by two white men, to carry the moral weight of this story?
