Mystique looks great in that “still”, otherwise the other ones are meh. Seems it’s only for Japan, should get better character posters soon though.

Edit: I just realised the Mystique one is the same photo as the one on the main poster, just was more saturated.

it would be disappointing if that's the best things they have to show as marketing for the movie ..

The overwhelming majority of the original third act took place at the UN meeting... on earth. At the very end, Jean flies into shallow space and sacrifices herself to destroy the incoming fleet of alien ships. The new third act also involves her sacrificing herself in shallow space, only here she’s killing Chastain. I highly doubt the new space sequence is much shorter than the one featured in the original third act.

They could - and should - have gone for a less Wanda-ish look with Jean’s coat/costume.

Cosmic fire running up her arms and legs could have been used to mimic the gold boots and gold gloves of the comic book outfit.

So much potential wasted.

It’s what is making people glad of the MCU takeover of this franchise.

The filmmakers decided to revamp the look of Phoenix in post (more “cosmic” and less “flamy,” according to the director) and shoot a new third act (instead of taking place in space, the climax finds all the X-Men kidnapped and on board a military train).

This looks like a continuation of the shot in the final trailer which seems to take place at the train crash site.
Apparently Jean faces off against the alien forces alone. She quite active it seems, flying aorund throwing telekinetically charged punches that dinstgrate them

I agree and yes I am excited to see what Feige has in store for the X-men in the MCU down the road.

Oh well, at least we got a decent handful of good X films. I'm still somewhat looking forward to Dark Phoenix but not by much.
