They should then cast the biggest stars in the most important roles which in a film based on the X-Men should be the actual X-Men and not elevating 2nd and 3rd tier characters to the detriment of the 1st tier characters. Write stories where the 1st tier characters are the principles. The principles should be the focus.

It's kind of after the fact dontcha think? In both cases (Halle and Jennifer) their fame came after their first movies not before. Hugh became famous because of the first X-Men film so your point is moot.

It just seems such a waste that they have/had Halle/Famke/Anna/Ellen/Olivia in key X-Women roles... Yet the one actress they decided to put a lot of focus is the one playing Mystique. Like I wouldn't mind Jlaw being front and center if she was playing Jean or Rogue or even Dazzler. But good God, Mystique? and Fox's version is already far from the comics.

From the beginning they should’ve cast JLaw as Emma Frost. I feel like this whole thing would’ve been so different had that been the case.

I’m not sure about anyone else but to me, White Queen as Xavier’s half sister, one of the founding members of the X-men, who’s first kill brings about a world run over by Sentinels, would later lead the X-men before Cyclops, counts Storm as one of her fan girls is just as absurd.

Perhaps the only thing a JLaw as White Queen would improve is that she won’t walk around in shoddy make-up.

She would still act bored. Plus who knows what demands she would put her foot down to this time.

Don't forget when those 'Take A Stand' posters first came out people thought they were fake because of the font. Back then those were so-so designs but I liked them, I have those 6 posters up on my wall but compared to what we get nowadays, they're masterpieces. That 180 Jean head twist is just bad photo shop and would get me fired.

And we were totally bamboozled by the trailers and promo for X3.. Angel and Cyclops in uniform??!

The simple posters for X1 and X2 hold up the best for me...

However I do like the DOFP poster with Giant Mystique and Wolverine, haha.

I didn’t hate the Apocalypse posters they were ok. Was not a fan of DoFP ones.

My all time fav image was the cover of my X-Men 1.5 DVD. Which was the shot of Cyclops, Jean, Storm and Wolverine where they are looking up.

I always liked that one, because it felt more like a superhero team. And it has style, a composition, u know.

it feels like "we are the X-Men".
while Fox missed the mark regarding this vibe with almost all the next team movies. The Dofp poster is all over the place, with each mutant looking to one completely different place, some in action mode, others just looking to the camera..... a mess.

problem is Fox overestime her audience impact. the whole fanbase is against her character and getting that much exposure, so this leads to negative word of mouth, something really important, a studio should know better how to control word of mouth.

and Jennifer outside of Hunger games hasnt have big boxoffice hits, so once again, the studio is messing the franchise big time with this push. Its like they are totally clueless about what the audience/fanbase wants from this property, and they keep ****ing it up over and over, loosing audience in the process. What more does Fox needs to open their eyes??

they keep forcing her and her character, and the facts are that its not working. the fanbase is saying No out loud, and this negative buzz is hurting the property. But again... execs are clueless and dont give a damm about source material. Then they get dissapointed with these mediocre numbers dont knowing why. if only they hired people real fan and respectful with the source material......

They should change this movie to Dark Mystique.

Or better yet, call it Dark Raven.

The final run even had their uniforms zipped up fully haha I still have my figures in the package. Ah good memories, I called my Toysrus everyday after school until they had them in stock lmao
